Kelly Clarkson Puts Some Extra Pep in Her Step for Cover of Faith Hill’s ‘Keep Walkin’ On’

For anyone who’s exhausted on this Monday (March 15) — between losing an hour of sleep to daylight saving time, the 2021 Grammy Awards running late on Sunday night, and the 2021 Oscar nominations being announced first thing in the morning — Kelly Clarkson knew just the thing to get people going to start their week off right. She got The Kelly Clarkson Show viewers to “Keep Walkin’ On” with her take on Faith Hill and Shelby Lynne‘s 1995 song. The talk show host and her backup singers sped up the song and traded singing duties on the fourth verse when they sang, “What you gonna do, can’t pay the rent/ Yeah, what you gonna do when the money’s spent?/ What you gonna do when you just can’t cope/ Hey, what...

J Balvin Adds Karol G, Jhay Cortez, Tainy, Rauw Alejandro & More to Neón in Las Vegas

The Neón Experience will take place in Las Vegas during Mexican Independence Weekend, September 16-19, which traditionally has been a huge weekend for Latin music in Vegas, typically featuring big stars playing arena shows. Elton John Condemns ‘Hypocrisy’ of the Vatican After Same-Sex Union Ruling

John, a fervent advocate for and member of the LGBTQ+ community, condemned the Vatican’s statement as “hypocrisy,” considering their financial investment in his 2019 biopic Rocketman, which depicts him coming out as a gay man and entering into a sexual relationship with his manager John Reid before eventually celebrating his marriage to husband David Furnish at the end of the movie. The couple, who’ve been together for 15 years, were married on Dec. 21, 2014, at their Windsor estate nine months after same-sex marriage became legal in England. “How can the Vatican refuse to bless gay marriages because they ‘are sin’, yet happily make a profit from investing millions in ‘Rocketman’ – a film which celebrates my finding happ...

Nandi Bushell Continues Hot Streak With Cover of Muse’s ‘Plug In Baby’

For the better part of the last two decades, Muse has most likely been your favorite band’s favorite band. And for most of the last year, Nandi Bushell has most likely been your favorite band’s favorite child prodigy of rock music. On Sunday, the English youngster released her take on “Plug In Baby.” She described it as “one of my most CHALLENGING covers so far,” yet still managed to flawlessly work through all four parts of the song. Brandi Carlile Shares Cover of John Prine’s ‘I Remember Everything’

One of the more memorable moments of the Grammys was the reconfigured “In Memorium” segment. In it, select artists paid tribute to those who died in 2020 with performances of their songs. One of the best was when Brandi Carlile performed a tender version of John Prine’s final song, “I Remember Everything,” which won two Grammys in its own right. Prine’s song was recorded by producer Dave Cobb and engineer Gena Johnson, and it was bittersweetly Prine’s only No. 1 song. A day later, Carlile has released a studio version of “I Remember Everything.” <!– // Brid Player Singles. var _bp = _bp||[]; _bp.push({ “div”: “Brid_10143537”, “obj”: {“id”:”25115″,”width”:”480″,”height”:”270″...

Grammys Ratings See Steep Decline; Final Tally Could See Record Low

Last night’s Grammy Awards were pretty good! They had a nice mix of performances, quips and mostly got the actual awards part right  — with a few exceptions, of course. However, that didn’t mean that people tuned in. According to early ratings reports from Nielsen, the actual telecast on CBS was the lowest-rated Grammys in history. The show pulled in an average of 7.88 million viewers with a 1.9 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic (which is the key figure for advertisers). Believe it or not, that’s less than half of the audience who tuned in for the 2020 edition that took place last January. The final numbers for that event were 18.69 million and a 5.4 rating. The 2021 figure also includes people who lived livestreamed the event. <!– // Brid Player Singles. ...
