Grey McMurray took on the track’s backing vocals, while Ali Friend of the London instrumental project Red Snapper played double bass. The video was directed by Stephen Ellcock and Jonathan Reid-Edwards. “Beth originally had the idea of looking at women as mystics and witchcraft as a form of spiritual connection rather than evil,” Ellcock said in the press release. “Running with this, we wanted to make something that took you on a journey both cosmic a...

Hyd, the moniker of interdisciplinary artist and PC Music associate Hayden Dunham, has shared a new song called “Afar.” Caroline Polachek produced and co-wrote the track. “Afar” also comes with a music video directed by Rose Schlossberg and Hyd, in which the artist bathes in hot steam clouds. Check it out below. “Afar” was written during a period in which Hyd temporarily lost their eyesight. “Caroline and I started ‘Afar’ in Santa Monica and finished it at her house in Brooklyn. The productions are distilled to feel like a vapor den,” explained Hyd in a statement. “The voice in the song is meant to emanate from an imagined guardian—a presence without a body, an angel next to me. My vision was gone and I had to steam my eyes regularly with hot water vapor, which was the predominant element ...

The judge in today’s hearing also continued Spacey’s unconditional bail, which was granted last month. Back in 2019 in Massachusetts, Spacey was charged with indecent assault and battery in connection to a July 2016 incident involving an 18-...
Christopher Meloni appears in the buff — and boy, do we mean buff — in a new Peloton ad celebrating National Nude Day. “Some people think the way I work out is strange,” the Law and Order star says, lawlessly naked except for a blur protecting the identity of his little perp. The minute-long commercial shows the the 61-year-old lifting, stretching, crunching his abs, and running out in public, much to the approval of a dog, for some reason. Is this clip weird? Yes, unfathomably weird. But you’re not here to weigh the merits of a Peloton subscription, you’re here to see some assets. Take a peek below. In 2021, Meloni rejoined the Law and Orderverse, reprising his role as Detective Stabler in the SVU spinoff Organized Crime. The year before, he appeare...
