The surviving members of Pantera are set to reunite in 2023 for their first tour in over 20 years. Billboard reports that singer Philip Anselmo and bassist Rex Brown have signed a deal with Artist Group International to book their upcoming North American dates. “We are thrilled to be working with such an iconic band and bringing their music back to the fans,” agent Peter Pappalardo said in a statement. It’s unclear who will be joining Anselmo and Brown on the road for the tour. Guitarist “Dimebag” Darrell was murdered during a show in Ohio in 2004, while his brother Vinnie Paul died in 2018 from heart disease. In an interview in 2019, Anselmo teased the possibility of a Pantera tribute tour with Brown and guitarist Zakk Wylde, a longtime friend of the band. Advertisement “Well, Zakk is a b...
Eddie Munson may have been the breakout character of Stranger Things Season 4, a point proven by Netflix’s latest piece of marketing, a huge crop art installation the streaming service commissioned in his image. A new video, shot in a field “somewhere in Indiana,” shows a huge piece of crop art by artist Stan Herd depicting the beloved metalhead in all his glory. The aerial shots of the artwork are soundtracked, of course, by Metallica’s “Master of Puppets,” a fitting tribute for the character. “Eddie Munson 4 Ever,” the design reads. It leaves you wondering how far in advance Netflix commissioned the environmental piece, which was surely a lot of work, but apparently the streamer is always 10 steps ahead of the rest of us. Check out the crop art below. Actor Joseph Quinn did a lot of...

The Grammy Awards and the Super Bowl Halftime Show have a few things in common. Both, of course, have been fixtures on network television for decades, but neither has even won the top Emmy Award for variety programming — an award currently called outstanding variety special (live). Both shows are nominated in that category again this year. Will one of these shows finally prevail this year? Quite possibly. Each received five Emmy nominations this year, which is more than the other three nominees in this category — The Oscars (which received three nods), The Tony Awards Present: Broadway’s Back! (which received two) and Live In Front Of a Studio Audience: The Facts of Life and Diff’rent Strokes (which also received two). The Grammys became a live telecast in March 1971, but they assumed a hi...
A second man has been arrested on murder charges in a May shooting that killed two people and caused a stampede at a Georgia music festival. Washington County Sheriff Joel Cochran said Wednesday (July 13) that Brian Keith Rozier, a 24-year-old East Dublin resident, was arrested by U.S. marshals. Rozier is charged with malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, using a gun in a crime and reckless conduct. The shooting killed William Mykell Lowery, 17, and Christopher “Scooter” Dunn, 30. Both men were attending a Freaknik-themed music festival at the private Larry Mitchell Ballpark in Sandersville. Rozier had not yet been booked into the Washington County jail Wednesday afternoon. It was unclear if he has a lawyer representing him. Ryan Rozier, 22, also of East Dublin, was arrested in...
