Manchester United confirm licensing deal with Lego

Premier League giants Manchester United have confirmed that they have secured a licensing agreement with Danish toy production company Lego.

United branch out

Though it was not confirmed via an actual announcement, the Red Devils’ latest financial figures for the first quarter of this season showcased a new agreement with Lego.

This contributed to a £4 million increase in sponsorship revenue, amid a 5.9% overall rise.

United have since revealed to Off The Pitch that the deal is a licensing agreement, with further information set to be provided following the turn of the year:

‘A partnership with LEGO was announced in [Manchester United’s] recently published Q1 report […] According to the club, the deal is a licensing agreement, however, new information and products will only be released in the new year.’

Man United visit Bramall Lane

Manchester United are set for a return to the pitch this weekend.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men will travel to high-flying Sheffield United on Sunday evening, for a Premier League clash.

The Red Devils were in the midst of an improved run of form prior to the international break, which had seen them notch 5 wins from their last 6 outings across all competitions.

The latest of these came in a 3-1 victory over Brighton two weeks ago, in a performance which many labelled as the club’s finest of the campaign so far.

United currently sit 7th in the Premier League table, a point adrift of their hosts this weekend.
