Moise Kean: Everton close to signing striker ahead of Wolves

Moise Kean & Everton

Juventus striker Moise Kean has been linked with a move to Everton for several days.

And, on Monday, Everton’s hopes of signing the 19-year-old attacker appear to be improving.

As detailed in local Turin daily Corriere Torino today, Everton’s deal to sign Kean is in the “final stages”.

Everton vs Wolves

Aside from Everton, Wolves are also listed as a potential suitor for Kean by Corriere Torino.

However, one has to presume that Wolves are unlikely to land the Juve forward as they appear to be closing in on AC Milan’s Patrick Cutrone instead.

On Sunday, reports spread that Crutone is on the verge of switching to Molineux.

Moise Kean: Transfer fee & buyback clause

When it comes to Moise Kean’s transfer fee, the teenager is valued at 40 million euros.

For the record, the Italian forward is under contract with Juve until 2020.

However, there remains a sticking point: Juve want to insert a buy-back clause into any deal with the Toffees.

Do Everton need to agree to such a clause for the Kean transfer to receive the green light? According to Corriere Torino, the answer seems to be ‘yes’.

Why Juve want to sell Kean

As the end of the summer transfer window draws closer, Juve seem to be lining up several sales.

Aside from Kean, rumours are circling that Paulo Dybala and Sami Khedira could leave the club.

Goal.com have looked into why Juventus are trying to push players out the exit door:

Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici is currently looking at thinning out his squad, having spent over €100 million (£90m/$111m) on new signings including defenders Matthijs de Ligt, Luca Pellegrini and Merih Demiral.

They have recouped €29.5m (£27m/$33m) from the sale of Leonardo Spinazzola to Roma, but now wish to offload attacking talent.
