Otoboke Beaver Announce New Album Super Champon, Share Video: Watch
Japanese Rock band Otoboke Beaver have announced the new album Super Champon, set for release on May 6 via Damnably. The record will follow the quartet’s 2019 LP Itekoma Hits. The new album opens with the 2020 single “I Am Not Maternal,” which just got a new music video. Watch the new clip below; scroll down for the Super Champon cover art. Lead vocalist and guitarist Accorinrin, guitarist and voaclist Yoyoyoshie, bassist and vocalist Hirochan, and drummer and vocalist Kahokiss comprise Otoboke Beaver. Meshuggah have unleashed “Light the Shortening Fuse,” the second single from their upcoming album Immutable (out April 1st). Following the powerful lead single “The Abysmal Eye,” Meshuggah deliver another crushing piece of progressive metal mastery. The compact and syncopated riffs of “Light the Shortening Fuse” have a heavier emphasis on groove, making the song a bit more accessible. But the Swedish band sacrifices none of its trademark brutality or songwriting complexities in the process. Thankfully we won’t have to wait much longer to hear the rest of Immutable, which drops in less than a month. Out via Only The Family /Empire Distribution, the album celebrates the late Chicago rapper’s legacy and reportedly green lit by Von’s family.
