Above & Beyond and Mat Zo Drop Long-Awaited Group Therapy ID, “Always Do”

Above & Beyond and Mat Zo have finally dropped one of 2021’s most anticipated Group Therapy IDs. The Anjunabeats veterans today released “Always Do,” an acid-soaked progressive house single. Tinctures of haunting vocals guide listeners through an atmospheric, dark arrangement, which is highlighted by pulsing bass. Fans got their first taste of the track back in September 2021 at the Group Therapy 450 outing in London—and they’ve been awaiting its official release ever since. Check out the riveting single below. Recommended Articles Earlier in the week, the Anjunabeats Twitter account teased that the trio had an upcoming collaboration on the way with a “label star.” This, of course, was Zo, who shared his excitement to work with the trio. SHINEDOWN Releases ‘Planet Zero’ Music Video

SHINEDOWN has released a thought-provoking and cinematic music video for its new single, “Planet Zero”. The clip arrives as “Planet Zero” hits No. 1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay chart this week. The explosive single, the title track from the band’s seventh studio album, out April 22 via Atlantic Records, is SHINEDOWN‘s 17th No. 1 and sixth consecutive chart-topper, breaking a new record for the most No. 1s in the 40-year history of the chart. Directed by Charles De Meyer, the video brings to life a glimpse of a dystopian future (complete with a menacing A.I. character named Cyren from the album’s interludes who we hear at the end of the music video) that warns of the dangerous dehumanizing consequences of cancel culture run rampant. DUB WAR To Release First Album Of New Material In Over 25 Years

Fusion metal pioneers DUB WAR have released their brand new rousing single “Blackkk Man”, the first single off of their first album of all-new material in over 25 years, “Westgate Under Fire”. Watch the new lyric video here. The track packs a punch with jagged guitar, furious rhythms and tough vocals from founder and frontman Benji Webbe (who many will also recognize as the mighty SKINDRED‘s lead singer). Released in the midst of the celebration of Black History Month in the U.S., “Blackkk Man” is a furious revolt against racism and a bleak reflection of crucial events from this decade in particular, including the murder of George Floyd. Says Webbe: “This song is exactly how I was feeling at the time of Mr. Floyd‘s murder. This is a cry...

Kuusumu – KUOLEMANLAAKSO

RATING: 8.5/10 As any dedicated fan of ultra-miserable, deathly doom metal will tell you, the Finns have absolutely got their shit together. Although less well-known, KUOLEMANLAAKSO deserve to be regarded along those other benchmarks of funeral and melancholic doom metal: SHAPE OF DESPAIR, SKEPTICISM and SWALLOW THE SUN. Across a series of fascinating and emotionally supercharged albums, this shadowy unit have become increasingly potent. Led by the enigmatic presence of SWALLOW THE SUN frontman Mikko Kotamäki, KUOLEMANLAAKSO have long threatened to produce something special, and “Kuusumu” is precisely that. More overtly gothic and theatrical than any of the aforementioned, the Finns’ sound has truly blossomed here over seven wistful but punishing nose-dives into the dark....

Band of Horses’ Ben Bridwell Isn’t Convinced Things Are Great, But He’s Trying

Ben Bridwell is just waking up from a nap between interviews. Five years after his band’s last album — a span that felt even longer due to the pandemic — the Band of Horses frontman is back on the press circuit, and it’s tiring. If fielding repetitious questions from journalists weren’t wearying enough, the topics up for discussion have been weighing on Bridwell for years. Written pre-COVID, the stories on Band of Horses’ new record, Things Are Great, are about depression, darkness, and divorce. Singing those songs live is something he looks forward to as meditative (“It’ll probably be more joyful than reflective on what the story is,” he tells Consequence. “It’s more like paying attention to the goddamn chords and shit”), but speaking about them is something else entirely. “I had a Z...

Swedish House Mafia Links With The Police’s Sting on “Redlight” to Announce Its Next Album

Swedish House Mafia has returned and ahead of its upcoming Coachella appearance and the group’s first tour in 10 years, it has debuted “Redlight” featuring Sting. “Redlight” samples The Police’s legendary song “Roxanne,” centering around the lyrics “You don’t have to put on the red light/Those days over/You don’t have to sell your body to the night/You don’t have to wear that dress to night/Those days are over.” Naturally, Sting — who was the frontman, songwriter and bassist for The Police — supplies vocals for “Redlight,” before Swedish House Mafia applies its usual dance-infused wizardry to the track. The new song comes ahead of Swedish House Mafia’s sixth album Paradise Again, which sees the trio comprising of Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso teaming up with Ty Dolla $ign an...
