Bruce Lee Band, the ska project from Mike Park and Jeff Rosenstock, return today with their first new single of the year. “Did You Find the Money Farm?,” their collaboration with Fishbone’s Angelo Moore, arrives with a comical accompanying music video. It will appear on the group’s upcoming LP One Step Forward, Two Steps Back, out sometime this summer. “Did You Find the Money Farm?” is a scathing diss of those who profit most from late-stage capitalism. “You pattern your life after powerful people, follow the path through the door,” vocalist Mike Park sings, his snide critiques backed by the band’s menacing drums and horns. “One step inside and you’ll never look back, you ride on the backs of the poor.” But despite its somber message, the DIY-style video for “Did You Find the Money Fa...
Rivers Cuomo has announced a new word game for Weezer fans. “If you like Wordle and Weezer, you’ll probably like Weezle,” the veteran songwriter wrote on Twitter today, March 3rd. Like Wordle, the viral sensation that was recently bought by The New York Times, Weezle gives players six cracks at guessing a five letter word, using color blocks to indicate the right letter in the right place (green), a correct letter in the wrong place (yellow), or a total miss (gray). While Cuomo hasn’t fully explained the word list, today’s Weezle is certainly Weezer-adjacent. Get it right and you’ll be treated to a Weezer song. You can play for yourself here. This is just the latest technological venture for Cuomo. In January he unveiled Weezify, a Spotify for Weezer fans that held over 3,500 demos. L...

Before the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020, Caroline Distribution staffers were able to renovate their floor of the famed Capitol Tower to meet their particular needs: open floor plan, no offices, a collaborative environment where sharing ideas freely became paramount. So when office life shut down, president Jacqueline Saturn did what she could to try to preserve some of that open-air feel in which her team had begun to thrive: she invited the staff to her back yard, where a friend had a banner made with the division’s logo that hung above an area where her team could work outside. “People really needed a safe space, so that’s how it started — we could have people spaced here, people could wear their mask and be six feet apart and that was the beginning of it,” she tells Bill...
