Megadeth have unleashed “Let There Be Shred!” as the third single from their upcoming final album, a self-titled effort arriving January 23rd.
“When Megadeth started we said we would be fast and furious… we said so on the flyers we handed out,” stated frontman Dave Mustaine of the new single (watch the music video below). “This song is fast and furious. Know it! It has a very hooky chorus that draws you in and you can’t help but play air guitar and headbang to this one.”
Megadeth will celebrate the new album with a film, Megadeth: Behind the Mask, screening in select theaters on January 22nd. The band will embark on a years-long farewell tour in February with a Canadian outing featuring Anthrax and Exodus. Pick up tickets here.
