Hideaki Anno, the visionary creator of the series, takes a central role in this anniversary project, handling the planning, scriptwriting, and overall supervision. Directorial duties have been entrusted to Naoyuki Asano, who previously served as the animation director for the acclaimed Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time. The project also reunites a prestigious circle of series veterans, with Kazuya Tsurumaki, Shinji Higuchi, and Kazuki Todoroki all credited as supervisors.
