Netflix is officially inviting fans back to the Earth Kingdom. The streaming giant has announced that the highly anticipated second season of its live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender adaptation will premiere globally on June 25, 2026. The announcement arrived alongside a brand-new behind-the-scenes featurette, giving viewers a first look at the expanding cinematic world.

Picking up after the bittersweet victory at the Northern Water Tribe, Season 2 follows Avatar Aang (Gordon Cormier), Katara (Kiawentiio), and Sokka (Ian Ousley) as they regroup and set off on a crucial new mission. The trio must journey to the Earth Kingdom to convince the elusive Earth King to aid in their escalating battle against the fearsome Fire Lord Ozai (Daniel Dae Kim).

The new season marks a major milestone for the live-action adaptation with the highly anticipated introduction of the fan-favorite character Toph Beifong. Played by Miya Cech, the blind earthbending master will join the Gaang as Aang’s pivotal earthbending teacher. The expansive ensemble cast also sees the return of Dallas Liu as Prince Zuko, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee as Uncle Iroh, and Elizabeth Yu as Princess Azula.

Following the massive success of its 2024 debut, Netflix confidently ordered two additional seasons, opting to film Seasons 2 and 3 back-to-back to accommodate the young cast’s rapid growth. With Christine Boylan and Jabbar Raisani taking over as showrunners, the creative team has promised a darker, more intense narrative as the series heads toward its eventual third and final season.

Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2 will be available to stream exclusively on Netflix starting June 25, 2026.
