The new movies and TV shows coming to Netflix this April is an eclectic one, as the streamer welcomes in spring with a mix of new series hoping for Emmys attention, some acclaimed films, and a few dashes of horror.
Making its debut this month is the highly anticipated second installment of anthology series BEEF, this time starring Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, Cailee Spaeny, and Charles Melton as two couples experiencing some extreme grudging. Kate Hudson is also back for the second season of basketball comedy Running Point, and Zach Galifianakis has a new comedy special — well, presumably it’ll be funny, though it’s very specifically called This Is a Gardening Show.
Additionally, the saga of Stranger Things isn’t quite over yet, as the animated series Tales from ’85 will tell a story set between the second and third seasons of the Netflix original series. (None of the live-action cast returns to voice their original characters, though the ensemble does include Jeremy Jordan, Odessa A’zion, Janeane Garofalo, Lou Diamond Phillips, and Robert Englund.)

Now streaming are the first five Mission: Impossible movies, which are now available on Netflix alongside Oscar-winning flicks including Atonement and Bohemian Rhapsody. Later in the month, the Idris Elba-starring Beast (2022), A Quiet Place Part II, and the Jordan Peele-produced Him will also make their debuts.
