Director Christopher Nolan has enlisted Travis Scott and James Blake for an original song in his upcoming film ‘The Odyssey’
The collaboration marks a reunion for Nolan and Scott following their previous musical partnership on the 2020 film Tenet
Scott will also make an acting appearance in the star-studded adaptation portraying the role of a traditional bard
Christopher Nolan‘s highly anticipated adaptation of The Odyssey is officially welcoming Travis Scott and James Blake into its cinematic universe. The musical duo has crafted an original track titled “When I’m Home” that will serve as the film’s end-credits anthem.
The musical pairing represents a continuation of Christopher Nolan’s creative relationship with Travis Scott. The acclaimed director previously enlisted the Houston artist for his sci-fi thriller Tenet, where Scott provided the track “The Plan.” Now, Scott reunites with frequent collaborator James Blake for the new end-credits anthem, “When I’m Home,” though audio snippets currently remain exclusive to early press screenings.
Beyond the soundtrack, Scott is also stepping in front of the camera for The Odyssey. Nolan cast the artist as a bard, a creative decision drawing a direct parallel between ancient oral poetry and modern hip-hop storytelling. Scott’s cameo joins a massive ensemble cast featuring Matt Damon, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, and Tom Holland. As the film makes history by being shot entirely on IMAX 15/70MM film stock, fans are heavily speculating about the potential arrival of accompanying Cactus Jack movie merchandise to coincide with the release.
The Odyssey arrives exclusively in theaters and IMAX formats worldwide on July 17, 2026.
