BMW is celebrating 40 years of its M heritage in Canada with the launch of the 2027 BMW M4 Coupe M Legacy Edition. Limited to just 40 units exclusively for the Canadian market, this special model pays homage to four decades since the debut of the original M3 Coupe and aims to reward one of the strongest global markets for BMW’s performance division. Sadly for enthusiasts south of the border, the United States market is completely excluded from this limited production run.
The Legacy Edition is available as either the standard rear-wheel-drive M4 Coupe or the all-wheel-drive M4 Competition Coupe. Every example comes fully loaded with features that hardcore enthusiasts typically desire, including the M Driver’s Package, carbon bucket seats, black Merino leather, and carbon fiber interior trim. To further differentiate the celebratory model, BMW has equipped it with gold-bronze 826M wheels, an Alcantara-trimmed M steering wheel usually reserved for CS or CSL models, and exclusive black M graphics stretching across the hood and trunk.
Buyers can select from three heritage BMW Individual paint colors: Laguna Seca Blue, Velvet Blue Metallic, and Imola Red II. Production is scheduled to begin in Germany in June 2026, with deliveries arriving at Canadian dealerships in the third quarter of that year. Pricing is set to start at $115,500 CAD for the standard M4 Coupe and $124,500 CAD for the M4 Competition variant.
