Bruce Springsteen will release a cover of The Pogues’”A Rainy Night in Soho” in tribute to the band’s late frontman Shane MacGowan.
“Our very good friend Bruce has recorded a beautiful version of ‘A Rainy Night in Soho,’” McGowan’s wife, Victoria Mary Clarke, announced on Instagram. “It’s a stunning tribute to Shane’s songwriting and it’s out on Thursday [March 12th]!” Check out the post below.

MacGowan died in November of 2023. In May 2024, Springsteen kicked off a show in Kilkenny, Ireland with a live rendition of “A Rainy Night in Soho” as a tribute to the deceased singer.
