Evicted Prince has rejected a Gofundme account set up by his fans. Like Erica, Nigerians had opened a Gofundme account for the former Housemate to start a salon. But he turned down the campaign, saying he should be the one to bother on how to repay their support. Kano Disco clarifies new tariff increment, assures customers of improved supply

The Management of Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) says the new tariff increment as approved by Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) is not applicable to all its customers in Kano, Katsina and Jigawa States. Edo election: NSCDC deploys 13,3111 personnel, 60 sniffer dogs

Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) says it has deployed no fewer than 13,3111 personnel alongside 60 sniffer dogs to ensure security during the Sept. 19 Edo governorship election. Mr Abdullahi Gana, Commandant General NSCDC, disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen by the Corps Public Relations Officer (PRO) Mr Emmanuel Okeh on Wednesday in Abuja. Gana revealed that the deployed personnel were drawn from the Corps Headquarters and its commands in Kogi, Anambra, Bayelsa, Delta and Ondo state. Justice Ahmed Mohammed of the Federal High Court, Abuja, on Wednesday, adjourned to October 14, to commence hearing in the suit filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) seeking the disqualification of Pastor Osagie Ize-iyamu from the September 19 governorship election in Edo State. Justice Mohammed fixed the date following an agreement by parties to hear the suit after the court’s vacation period. The court had last week adjourned to September 16 for hearing in the application against the suit filed by the All Progressives Congress (APC), challenging the court’s jurisdiction being a vacation court to entertain the suit. The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has appealed to the general public to support its survey on the situation of women and children it is conducting, is brought to “ a successful end”. Central bank okays N200 billion housing loan for low income earners

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has announced N200 billion mortgage finance loan to Family Homes Fund (FHF). The fund is for the building of 300,000 homes in the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory. It is also expected to help create up to 1.5 million jobs in five years. The CBN framework for the implementation of the Family Homes Financing Scheme released yesterday indicates that the fund would be released to FMF on project basis, subject to the cumulative maximum limit of N200 billion. According to the framework, the three-year term loan will enable FHF finance the construction of social housing units for people on low income at an interest rate not more than five per cent per annum (all inclusive).
