The organizers of Burning Man have remained hopeful of their ability to provide a 2021 event, announcing a theme earlier this month and issuing a “gentle nudge” to campsite organizers to start planning just last week. Alabama Shakes Drummer Steve Johnson Arrested for Child Abuse
Alabama Shakes drummer Steve Johnson is in custody after being charged with child abuse. According to the Associated Press, Johnson was arrested on Wednesday (March 24th) in Limestone County, Alabama, after being indicted on charges of “willful torture, willful abuse, and cruelly beating or otherwise willfully maltreating a child under the age of 18.” An arraignment is set for April 7th. Johnson previously pleaded guilty in March 2020 to violating a domestic violence protection order. He received a suspended sentence of a year in jail, with 24 months on probation. Alabama Shakes Drummer Steven William Johnson Arrested on Multiple Child Abuse Charges
Steven William Johnson was arrested earlier this week on multiple child abuse charges in Limestone County, Alabama. As WHNT reports, the Alabama Shakes drummer was indicted by a Limestone Grand Jury on counts of “willful torture, willful abuse, and cruelly beating or otherwise willfully maltreating a child under the age of 18.” Johnson’s currently being held at Limestone County Jail. His bond is set at $21,500 and his arraignment is scheduled for April 7.
