Sharon Osbourne Is Out at ‘The Talk’

Like so much of the news cycle these days, the origin of Osbourne’s on-air demise is Meghan Markle’s barn-burning interview with Oprah Winfrey — in which the Duchess of Sussex alleged racist behavior within the British Royal Family. Media firebrand and perennial martyr Piers Morgan called Markle a liar on Good Morning Britain, stormed off the set and ultimately quit the ITV program as many regarded his comments as racist. When Osbourne came to his defense on The Talk, the discourse quickly devolved. At one point, and most damningly, she demanded that Underwood, a Black woman, explain to her why Morgan was being called a racist. “Educate me, tell me when you have heard him say racist things,” Osbourne said. “I very much feel like I’m a...

ICED EARTH’s JON SCHAFFER Was Allegedly One Of The First People To Breach The Capitol

A federal court upheld a pre-trial detention order for ICED EARTH guitarist Jon Schaffer in connection with the siege on the U.S. Capitol. On March 19, U.S. Magistrate Judge Zia Faruqui ordered the 53-year-old musician, who resides in in Edinburgh, Indiana, held without bail on six federal criminal charges related to his alleged involvement with the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol. He ruled that while Schaffer wasn’t a flight risk, he does pose a danger to the community. A short time after the hearing, Schaffer‘s attorney Marc Victor filed a “motion to amend detention order,” claiming that “the government failed to establish Mr. Schaffer‘s dangerous to the community by clear and convincing evidence.” Victor wrote: “Mr. Schaffer is 53 years o...

And we’re just gonna drop music, like, a track, then wait about six weeks, eight weeks, drop another track, wait six weeks, drop another track, and just through the end of the year, just keep dropping music to lead up to a release of an album. And this thing is just a banger of a record. Lyrically, it comes from the gut. It...

GEORGE LYNCH And DON DOKKEN Are ‘In Agreement’ That ‘Proper’ DOKKEN Reunion Should Happen

In a new interview with Jeff Gaudiosi of MisplacedStraws.com, George Lynch was asked if there has been any talk of more shows featuring the reunited classic lineup of DOKKEN. He responded: “I’ve actually been talking to Don [Dokken] a little bit, and we’re both in agreement that that should probably happen — meaning some kind of a meaningful reunion done in the right way, carefully and with proper preparation and time and rehearsals and not just throwing it out there like we did last time.” George went on to say that “the obvious choice” to replace DOKKEN‘s recently retired drummer “Wild” Mick Brown would be Mick‘s brother Steve, who can be heard playing alongside Lynch and ex-DOKKEN bassist Jeff Pilson on the upcoming THE END MAC...

Amigo the Devil Shares New Song “Murder at the Bingo Hall”: Stream

Dark Americana artist Amigo the Devil has returned with another chilling tale, “Murder at the Bingo Hall”. The track is from the Austin singer-songwriter’s forthcoming sophomore album, Born Against, arriving April 16th. Once again, Amigo the Devil assumes the role of a grim storyteller, weaving a tongue-in-cheek tale of bloodshed in the most unlikely of places. As the temper of the paranoid bingo-playing protagonist grows fiercer with each passing number, the song careens to a climactic, violent conclusion. Amigo the Devil, aka Danny Kiranos, has become one of Americana’s rising acts thanks to his brand of entertaining narrative songwriting. Think Marty Robbins’ Gunfighter Ballads channeled through the grim post-modernism and black humor of Breaking Bad. Holding to the folk-music conventio...

Dead Can Dance Announce Rescheduled Tour Dates for Fall 2021

Dead Can Dance have announced new tour dates for Fall 2021. The itinerary is technically a rescheduled North American run that was originally slated to begin in April 2020, but was obviously postponed due to the pandemic. As long as the vaccine rollout goes as planned, the Australian goth/experimental veterans are hoping to kick off the tour on October 1st in San Diego and then travel all throughout the country — and up to Vancouver, BC and Toronto, ON — before concluding in Seattle on October 25th. The run includes stops in Denver, Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston, San Francisco, and elsewhere, so it’s a pretty comprehensive trek across the Northern half of the continent. This will be the first time the duo of Brendan Perry and Lisa Gerrard will return to North America since their 2013 ...

HHW Tech Review: HyperX Takes The If Ain’t Broke Don’t Fix It Approach With The Cloud II Wireless Headset

HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Bernard Smalls / @PhotosByBeanz83 HyperX’s Cloud II headset has been the company’s workhorse for 6 years and has seen minimal updates since then. So how does the latest iteration of the headset stand up to newer models from other companies? Surprisingly very well. When it comes to the Cloud II, HyperX has taken the if ain’t broke, don’t fix it approach with the headset model only dropping other various models with the Cloud handle like the Cloud Mix, Cloud Orbit S, and Cloud Alpha S. For this most recent design HyperX got a little bold and decided it was time to cut the cord. We are ecstatic the company has decided to go this route and dropped the Hyper X Cloud II Wireless.
