Mrs. Doubtfire Director Confirms There is No NC-17 Version of the Film

Mrs. Doubtfire On Thursday, a viral tweet started making rounds suggesting that there was an unreleased NC-17 cut of the Robin Williams film Mrs. Doubtfire. The post was sourced from a 2015 interview with director Chris Columbus, but now he’s clarified in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly that he was being hyperbolic. In the original interview, Columbus said that because Williams improvised so much on set, there were enough unreleased takes to string together PG, PG-13, R, and NC-17 cuts of the film. The film follows a divorced actor (Williams) who disguises himself as a female nanny to spend time with his kids, and the version that was released in 1993 ended up being rated PG-13. On Friday, Columbus told EW that there isn’t an NC-17 version of the film, which would ...

Justin Bieber Gets Too Woke for His Own Good on Justice: Review

The Lowdown: After an unfortunate misstep with Changes, released last year just before lockdown, Justin Bieber found himself, once again, at a sharp crossroads: carry on writing meme-able nonsense for lyrics, or put forth something that makes better use of the large production budget his label shells out. Fortunately, on Justice, he chose the latter. Unfortunately, if ever there was an example of the needle tipping too far, this is it. While Justice steps away from the lyrical fallacies of its predecessor, for an album that is much more expansive and explorative, the record has way too much nonsense surrounding it. If at any point you begin to wonder why the first voice on a song about submitting sexually to his wife is not Bieber, but civil rights leader and martyr Dr. Martin Luther King ...

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard Share Concert Footage From Recent Australian Gig : Watch

Ready for some serious FOMO? King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard have shared a new performance video of them playing to a live audience in Australia last month. Dubbed Live In Melbourne ’21, the hour-and-a-half-long set was professionally shot at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl on February 26th. For music fans in the US and Europe, the idea of a band performing to a crowd in a 10,000-capacity venue seems like a far-off fantasy right now, but those types of events are happening all over Australia right now. The entire continent has suffered less than 1,000 COVID deaths since the pandemic began, while the US experienced over 1,500 deaths yesterday alone. Fortunately for our sake, the Melbourne-based psych-rock act are giving us a taste of what we can return to when this catastrophe fin...

Iced Earth’s Jon Schaffer to Be Held Without Bail Until Trial

Iced Earth’s Jon Schaffer will be held without bail until the trial for his role in the Capitol riot commences. As Indiana news station WUSA-9 reports, a federal judge gave the ruling during Schaffer’s bail hearing on Friday. The guitarist is facing six charges for his involvement in the insurrection on Jan. 6, which includes engaging in an act of physical violence in a Capitol building after allegedly assaulting a Capitol officer with bear spray. Schaffer’s attorney, Marc Victor, argued that his client admitted he “used bad judgment” by attending the riots and wished he had a “do-over.” He also pointed out that Schaffer had no prior convictions and posed no danger to the community. <!– // Brid Player Singles. var _bp = _bp||[]; _bp.push({ “div”: “Brid_...

LIZZY BORDEN Launches ‘My Midnight Things’ Soundtrack Video; Announces Appearance In Horror Film ‘Die Influencers Die’

After releasing “Best Of Lizzy Borden, Vol. 2” last year, Lizzy Borden has now announced his feature film acting debut in “Die Influencers Die” — a blood-splattering, heavy metal-fueled, social media spoofing, feature-length horror film starring a legendary cast and a killer soundtrack (including tracks from Metal Blade Records artists LIZZY BORDEN, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER and ALLEGAEON). Written and directed by Gary Orona (HBO/Cinemax‘s “Hotel Erotica” and “The Erotic Traveler”), “Die Influencers Die” is now streaming on Amazon Prime. Lizzy Borden comments: “I had a blast on the set of this twisted little movie. I grew up on low budget splatter flicks from the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s, and ‘Die Infl...

Watch PAPA ROACH’s Livestream Event For ‘Greatest Hits Vol.2: The Better Noise Years’

PAPA ROACH has just released its second greatest-hits compilation, “Greatest Hits Vol. 2: The Better Noise Years”. The compilation commemorates their continued success as a top-selling recording and touring act during their 2010-2020 tenure signed to Better Noise Music, Billboard‘s No. 1 rock label of 2020. Most recently, the group vaulted to the No. 1 spot on Mainstream Rock radio charts with “The Ending (Remastered 2020)”, marking their eighth No. 1 single to date. The band was also rewarded with a RIAA gold certification for the track “Born For Greatness” earlier this month, which follows in the gold-certified footsteps of “Help”. Both songs, originally released on 2017’s critically acclaimed “Crooked Teeth”, are fe...

FOREIGNER Is Working On New Music

FOREIGNER bassist Jeff Pilson has once again said that it’s unlikely the band will release another full-length studio LP as a follow-up to “Can’t Slow Down”, which came out more than a decade ago. “I don’t really see a whole album of new material coming out anytime soon,” he told Kylie Olsson‘s YouTube show “Life In Six Strings” (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET). “But we are working on some music. So I think that what’s gonna happen is whatever other things we release in the next couple of years, there will be some new songs added to it. So that’s what I see kind of happening. ‘Cause we’re working on a few that are not that far away. So I would say expect a package deal to have a couple of new song...

deadmau5 Shares Preview of Massive Unreleased Electro Track

It seems deadmau5 is busy in the studio. After revealing a new collaboration with REZZ called “Hypnocurrency” earlier this week, he has now taken to social media to share a preview of another unreleased track. The clip is relatively short, but fans can hear the gritty electro flair of a signature deadmau5 track. It also offers up a taste of the song’s vocals, belted by a singer whose name is yet to be announced. However, it sounds an awful lot like Lights, the superstar singer-songwriter and producer who teamed up with the mau5 back in 2018 for “Drama Free.” Nevertheless, it’s important to note that Lights has not been confirmed as the track’s vocalist. Check out the preview below, courtesy of deadmau5’s Instagram. While we’re unab...

NXSTY and Seb C Drop Genre-Crossing Single, “Guala” With Kid Sharif

NXTSY and Seb C, two budding Vancouver-based artists, have teamed up to release a brand new genre-crossing collaboration titled “Guala.” Featuring the audacious vocals of Kid Sharif, the track blends the hip-hop lyricism with the booming bass elements of electronic dance music. Fitted with emphatic horns, a bobbin’ baseline, and warm synths, this house track has what it takes to be a fan favorite.  The first drop in “Guala” is somewhat of a warm-up, building heat and hinting at more to come. Here, NXSTY’s signature sound design is introduced, adding a vigorous twist to the deep house track. Meanwhile the haunting vocals are phased in and out. Arriving at that second drop, it is clear NXSTY and Seb C had intentions for “Guala” to be a club-ready hi...

Four Months After Tragic Death, Tributes to i_o Flood His Social Media Everyday

It’s clear that i_o‘s legacy will forever live on in the electronic dance music community. Four months after his tragic death, tributes to i_o continue to flood the late artist’s Instagram page every single day, despite the account’s dormancy. “444 has been following me around,” one user wrote yesterday, March 18th. “I just wanted to say that I miss seeing your tweets and I miss you.” “This one doesn’t heal,” wrote another. “Listening right now and so thankful for your music, it helps me survive a world where I feel wholly unwanted,” reads a particularly poignant homage shared earlier this week. “Thanks for making what you felt, what we’ve all felt, and making it so genuine and pure. I’...

Greta Van Fleet Share New Song “Broken Bells”: Stream

Greta Van Fleet are prepping for the release of their highly anticipated sophomore album, The Battle at Garden’s Gate, out April 16th. Now the band has shared the anthemic new single, “Broken Bells”. A coming-of-age song of sorts, the track again sees Greta Van Fleet expanding their sonic palette beyond the restrictive classic-rock pastiche of their debut record. The prog-like Rush influences and subtle folk flourishes add new colors to the band’s sound. For the third consecutive single, Greta Van Fleet push the song past the five-minute mark as they stretch their musical ideas. “Broken Bells is what the fetter of society does to impact a pure and innocent soul,” bassist Sam Kiszka said in a press release. “Our intention is to remove the obligation of generational synthetic expectations; b...
