New Study Finds Trance Music Listeners to Be Among the Happiest
We’ve learned that techno was found to be the least relaxing form of music, but a recent study has now uncovered what genres tend to inspire the happiest listeners. The findings arrive from an independently conducted survey hosted by the OnBuy online marketplace. The in-depth language study analyzed over two million Reddit comments from 27 of the most popular subreddits for each music genre. They looked for mentions of both positive words and swear words to track if the genre evoked a sense of either happiness or aggression. Trance music earned the highest spot out of the electronic music genres analyzed, coming in the 7th spot with 7,157 positive words out of 14,198 comments, which equates to 50 positive mentions per 100 comments. ROLLIN’ COFFIN, the brainchild of former BLOODSIMPLE and VISION OF DISORDER frontman Tim Williams, will release its debut single, “Runaway”, on April 2 through Static Era Records. The song was produced by Jon Markson (DRUG CHURCH, SUCH GOLD). “Runaway” comes at you with a driving sound that is very different from the aggressive metal stylings that you would expect from Williams. The band pays homage to its early influences by using a blend of classic and indie garage rock that evokes a ’90s grunge feel with a modern alternative rock sound. In a new interview with “Lamont & Tonelli” of San Francisco radio station 107.7 The Bone, KISS frontman Paul Stanley confirmed that the band will resume it farewell tour once the coronavirus pandemic has subsided. However, he cautioned that “rock concerts on the scale that we do — in arenas and stadiums — are a ways off. Anybody who thinks that they’re going to be going to a big concert anytime soon, it’s wishful thinking. JON SCHAFFER’s Attorneys File Motion To Dismiss Charges Against Him, Cite Right To A Speedy Trial
The attorneys for ICED EARTH‘s Jon Schaffer have filed a motion to dismiss the charges against the guitarist for his involvement in the January 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol. Documents obtained by BLABBERMOUTH.NET show that Schaffer‘s attorneys have cited the Speedy Trial Act, which establishes maximum time periods for different stages of a federal criminal prosecution. Since the Speedy Trial Act required the government to file an information or an indictment within 30 days of Schaffer‘s arrest, the “complaint must be dismissed,” they wrote.
