Miranda Lambert, Jack Ingram, and Jon Randall Announce The Marfa Tapes, Share “In His Arms”: Stream
Country superstar Miranda Lambert has teamed up with songwriters Jack Ingram and Jon Randall for the new album The Marfa Tapes. It drops May 7th, and to preview the release, the group has unveiled the lead single “In His Arms”. Lambert, Ingram, and Randall are hardly strangers; the trio previously collaborated on Lambert’s twice Grammy-nominated single “Tin Man” (2016), as well as the fan favorite “Tequila Does” (2019). Fresh takes on both of those songs will appear on The Marfa Tapes, but the majority of the 15-track effort has never been heard outside of Marfa, Texas. Steven Spielberg Bringing Stephen King’s The Talisman to Netflix
Steven Spielberg is teaming with Stranger Things creators the Duffer Brothers to bring Stephen King and Peter Straub’s fantasy epic, The Talisman, to Netflix as a series. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the deals are still being finalized and in negotiations. For nearly 40 years, Spielberg has owned the rights to an adaptation of the nearly 1,000-page novel and long expressed a desire to bring it to the screen. “I feel that in the very near future, that’s going to be our richest collaboration,” he told Entertainment Weekly in 2018. “Universal bought the book for me, so it wasn’t optioned. Tim Commerford: Rage Against the Machine Will “Never” Play Drive-In Shows or 10% Capacity Venues
Last year, Rage Against the Machine were set to reunite for perhaps the most anticipated rock tour of 2020. Whether the band embarks on its rescheduled outing this year remains to be seen, but bassist Tim Commerford suggests that it won’t happen until they can play in front of packed venues. The pandemic forced Rage Against the Machine to table their first tour in 10 years, just a few weeks before it was set to kick off. As of now, the rescheduled dates are slated to begin June 3rd in El Paso, Texas. It just so happens that Texas is set to lift all capacity restrictions (and foolishly end mask mandates) beginning next week, but that’s not the case in most states. A Dallas Man Has Been Indicted For Rapper MO3’s Murder

The Dallas News is reporting that local police have charged a man for taking the life of the MC. Last week the Dallas County grand jury indicted Kewon Dontrell White, 22, on murder charges. While the crime occurred back in November the documentation shows he was arrested three weeks after the incident and has sat in a federal correctional facility since.
