MEGADETH’s DAVID ELLEFSON Discusses Lack Of Bass On METALLICA’s ‘…And Justice For All’ Album (Video)

During an appearance on a recent episode of “Another FN Podcast”, MEGADETH‘s David Ellefson discussed the sound of METALLICA‘s “…And Justice For All” album. While “…And Justice For All” is considered one of METALLICA‘s classics, it has been criticized almost since the day it was released in 1988 for the lack of any bass guitar on the record. Jason Newsted‘s playing is virtually buried in the mix — and many fans feel that drummer Lars Ulrich, who had very specific ideas for how he wanted his drums to sound, is to blame. Ellefson said (see video below): “There is something on YouTube that [Jason] did — an interview that’s very candid — and he talked very openly about… ‘Garage Days’ was his first [...

Arranged by Tony Bruno, the song is an original mashup that combines ’80s rock of NAZARETH‘s “Love Hurts”, ’90s angst of Alanis Morissette‘s “Uninvited” and the classical strings of Tchaikovsky‘s iconic theme to “Romeo And Juliet”. Rock vocalists Dee Snider, Kia Warren and ...

St. Vincent Details “Sleazy, Grimy” New Album Daddy’s Home

One of our most anticipated albums of 2021 is the impending new record from St. Vincent. Last year, Annie Clark confirmed that the LP would arrive by this summer, and earlier this week some eagle-eyed Reddit users spotted posters that indicated it’s titled Daddy’s Home and would be released on May 14th. In a new interview with The New Cue, Clark didn’t confirm either of those facts, but she did share some key details about the album’s theme, sound, and recording process. While speaking with the new weekly music newsletter, the Grammy-winning rocker revealed that it was co-produced by Jack Antonoff (who she worked with on 2017’s MASSEDUCTION ) and that it was heavily inspired by early ’70s New York City. “I would say it’s the sound of being down and out Downtown in New Y...

Actress Bianca Allaine Calls Marilyn Manson the “Most Terrifying Person I’ve Ever Met,” Sets Up Meeting with FBI

Bianca Allaine has joined the growing list of women who have accused Marilyn Manson of abuse. The actress claims that the shock rocker forcibly kissed her when she was 16 in 1995, and then engaged in a “terrifying” sexual relationship with her when she was 19. She plans to soon speak to the FBI about her experiences. Allaine, who has mostly acted in B-movies like Zombinatrix and Nightmare Next Door,  told her story to The Sun, explicitly detailing a disturbing experience with the singer. “Marilyn Manson might be scary, but Brian Warner is the most terrifying person I’ve ever met in my life,” said Allaine, referencing the rocker’s real name. “He’s evil.” She added, “We were often never alone on the tour bus, and his fetish back then was to watch people have sex with me or do things to ...
