Fellow pop star and new mom Katy Perry emphasized the need for rest in her reassuring comment underneath Halsey’s post: “You’re about to perform a real miracle, get that rest and just be! I love you!” Model Emily Ratajkowski, who’s also expecting her first child, reiterated the “sleep” part with a string of heart emojis. Halsey penned an additional comment to her post about how she woke up to a new reality of pregnancy instead of the pre-conceived expectation of waking up like a “fertility goddess.” “More on the subject: I thought there would be a lot of expectation or pressure on me to wake up everyday feeling like some ‘girly-girly fertility goddess’, but instead I wake up and eat when I’m hungry, sleep when I’m tired...

METALLICA performed its classic song “For Whom The Bell Tolls” live from its Northern California headquarters as part of this year’s BlizzCon, the first virtual version of Blizzard‘s games convention. Like many events in 2020, BlizzCon was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This year, Blizzard took its fan event and game showcase digital with BlizzConline. “We would love to be there this year, but obviously can’t be, so here we are, and this is for you,” frontman James Hetfield told the virtual audience prior to his band’s rendition of the “Ride The Lightning” track. Since there is no in-person convention this year, Blizzard is making the entire event free to watch. The livestream is available on GameSpot‘s channel on Yo...
A new Eddie Van Halen coffee-table photo book by renowned rock photographer Ross Halfin is arriving in June via Rufus Publications. The 356-page book, titled Edward Van Halen, will retrace the career of the late guitar legend through the lens of one of rock’s most storied photogs. Halfin’s photo credit can be spotted next to some of the most iconic images in the genre’s history, having also worked with Black Sabbath, Metallica, and more over the years. Like with many of the great band’s of their era, Van Halen were often the subject of Halfin’s visual documentation. His shots of the group are the definitive images of their career, and the pictures of Eddie perfectly captured the virtuoso’s kinetic guitar skills on film. According to the publisher, the book includes classic and unseen photo...
Courtney Love isn’t just the lead singer of Hole; she’s a Golden Globe-nominated actress. Or, at least she was, as the multi-hyphenate has largely stepped back from mainstream film roles since the early aughts. In a new Instagram post, she revealed why, and it’s unfortunately not terribly surprising: #MeToo. “One day I might talk about it. I love acting,” Love captioned an image of herself attending the Golden Globes. “I stopped being capable of it after a bunch of #metoos. No one would believe me, and it wouldn’t stop. So I left, and it left. And I’m good with it. Maybe, in my next life I’ll be stronger & able to endure it .. I tip my hat to those who can.” Love was nominated for the Best Performance by an Actress Golden Globe for her role in Milos Forman’s 1996 classic The People vs....
