Monster Energy Up & Up Festival has announced the launch of its highly anticipated first college music festival of 2021. Over 50 colleges and universities will compete in the Spring Madness Festival Competition, and eight will win momentous performances from some of the biggest names in EDM. Subtronics, Oliver Heldens, Kaskade, and Tchami have been tapped to deliver one-of-a-kind performances at each winning school, alongside hand-picked student talent in their very own Spring Madness festival. CHRIS CORNELL’s Widow Sues SOUNDGARDEN Over Buyout Offer

According to TMZ, Chris Cornell‘s widow has sued the surviving members of SOUNDGARDEN over the buyout price for her stake in the band. In the lawsuit, which was obtained by BLABBERMOUTH.NET, Vicky Cornell says Kim Thayil, Matt Cameron and Ben Shepherd offered her just $300,000 for Chris‘s share. This amount, she says, is far lower than the real value of the Chris Cornell estate’s interests in SOUNDGARDEN, especially considering the fact that the band got an offer of $16 million from an outside investor for SOUNDGARDEN‘s masters. Singer Eddie Sutton of the legendary New York hardcore/metal act LEEWAY is battling stage three adenocarcinoma, an aggressive form of lung cancer. A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to help Eddie deal with the cost of treatment. A post on the GoFundMe reads: “This campaign is a beginning to help Eddie cover some of his costs and expenses as he fights Stage 3 Adenocarcinoma.
