As the music industry waits for a time when touring can return and fans can gather to celebrate the music of their favorite artists again, STEEL PANTHER has begun another charitable endeavor to help support concert photographers that have been sidelined since the COVID-19 pandemic began. Aside from venues, promoters, support staff and patrons, concert photographers have had no performances to cover since March 2020. STEEL PANTHER has decided to partner with seven of its longtime collaborators to curate a virtual photo exhibition of each individual’s work for a two-week period. Each photographer has captured the band with their lens at various points of their career. Fans can purchase exclusive prints that were hand-picked by the band and photographers in various configurations with t...
Joe Lynn Turner has once again blasted Frontiers Music Srl for continuing SUNSTORM without him, claiming that he had “no idea” the Italian record label would replace him in the project and accusing Frontiers of “lying” about the reasons he is no longer involved with the brand. Last month, Frontiers announced that going forward, SUNSTORM will now be a vehicle for “one of the most impressive vocal talents to emerge in recent years” in the form of RAINBOW singer Ronnie Romero. Romero‘s debut album with SUNSTORM, “Afterlife”, will arrive on March 12. The first taste of the LP came with the release of the single and video for the track “Swan Song”. Turner, who recorded five albums with SUNSTORM between 2006 and 2018, addressed hi...

Though its king is no longer with us, Wakanda lives on. Word has come that Black Panther director Ryan Coogler is developing a dramatic series set in Marvel’s fictional African country for Disney+. Deadline reports that the show is part of a newly signed five-year exclusive deal between Coogler’s Proximity Media and Disney. While the deal will find Proximity developing content beyond the Disney+ streaming service, the Wakanda project is up first. It also may not be the only Marvel Cinematic Universe series the production company will have a hand in, as Coogler said in a statement that “we will be working closely with [Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso and their partners at Marvel Studios] on select MCU shows for Disney+. We’re already in the mix on some projects that we can’t ...
Marilyn Manson has issued his first public comments in response to allegations of abuse levied against him by five women, including actress Evan Rachel Wood. In a statement posted to Instagram on Monday evening, Manson called the allegations “horrible distortions of reality.” “Obviously, my life and my art have long been magnets for controversy, but these recent claims about me are horrible distortions of reality,” Manson wrote. “My intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with like-minded partners. Regardless of how — and why — others are now choosing to misrepresent the past, that is the truth.” Earlier Monday, Wood and four other women accused Manson of sexual assault, psychological abuse, and coercion. “The name of my abuser is Brian Warner, also known to t...
Silento, the Atlanta rapper best known for the viral hit “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)”, has been charged with murdering his cousin. The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports that Silento (born Ricky Lamar Hawk) was arrested by DeKalb police on Monday. Hawk’s cousin, Frederick Rooks, was shot and killed on the morning of January 21st. “After a thorough investigation, DKPD detectives identified Hawk as Rooks’ cousin, and the person responsible for Rooks’ murder,” according police spokeswoman Michaela Vincent. Detectives are still working to establish a motive. The 23-year-old Hawk has had several previous run-ins with the law. In August, he was arrested twice on domestic violence and gun charges. Then in October, he was booked after being clocked speeding at more than 140 mph. Hawk achieved ...
Despite saving a little girl’s life, powerfully backing the Black Lives Matter movement, and funding the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, country music icon Dolly Parton somehow is still without a Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation’s highest civilian honor. But it’s not because her big heart and philanthropic spirit haven’t been noticed by the White House. Donald Trump’s Administration actually attempted to give her the highest civilian honor not once, but twice — however, Parton turned him down both times. The legendary “Jolene” singer revealed the news on The Today Show on Monday, noting that her decision to twice decline the Presidential Medal had more to do with bad timing than politics. “I couldn’t accept it because my husband was ill and then they asked me again about it an...
Source: Bernard Smalls / @PhotosByBeanz83 If you thought the new year would bring you some good news when trying to buy an Xbox Series X, we have some bad news for you. It’s still incredibly hard trying to secure an Xbox Series X or a PS5, which will likely not change anytime soon. Speaking with the New York Times, Microsoft’s head of investor relations, Mike Spencer, revealed that the next-gen console supply will still be very limited at least through June. This news isn’t that surprising because Microsoft warned of an Xbox Series X shortage back in November, stating that we would continue to see shortages heading into “Microsoft’s Q3, calendar Q1,” claiming the company should have more consoles April through June. Spencer’s news means that customers should expect the grind to buy an...
