Earlier today, Evan Rachel Wood and four additional women accused Marilyn Manson of abuse. Following their statements, Loma Vista Recordings dropped Manson from its label. Now, Manson has issued a statement of his own, denying the accusations. “Obviously, my life and my art have long been magnets for controversy, but these recent claims about me are horrible distortions of reality. My intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with like-minded partners. Regardless of how — and why — others are now choosing to misrepresent the past, that is the truth,” the statement, posted on Instagram, reads. Manson’s former reps told SPIN via email, “We are not currently on retainer with Marilyn Manson. TCB believes and supports survivors of abuse.” Manson has denied any wrongdoing in th...

Following allegations of abuse levied by five women, including his former partner Evan Rachel Wood, Marilyn Manson has been dropped by his record label, Loma Vista Recordings. “In light of today’s disturbing allegations by Evan Rachel Wood and other women naming Marilyn Manson as their abuser, Loma Vista will cease to further promote his current album, effective immediately,” the label said in a statement. “Due to these concerning developments, we have also decided not to work with Marilyn Manson on any future projects.” Manson had released his two most recent albums through Loma Vista, including 2020’s We Are Chaos. HBO Max is developing a Batman spin-off series for TV, and apparently they’re crafting a Batman miniseries for your ears, too. Say hello to Batman: The Audio Adventures, a new podcast by HBO Max starring Jeffrey Wright as the Caped Crusader. Don’t expect it to get too dark, however, because the roll call also includes comedic actors like Seth Meyers, Jason Sudeikis, and dozens more. Written and directed by Dennis McNicholas, Batman: The Audio Adventures is a multi-episode series that’s putting “a comedic take” on the Dark Knight, notes The Hollywood Reporter. It’s separate from DC’s multi-year deal with Spotify — which includes the new Batman Unburied podcast written by David S. Goyer — and as such it will hit WarnerMedia’s streaming service sometime in 2021. To help draw out the laug...
Source: Getty Images / Getty Esports is still a growing medium in the United States and not as popular as it is in China. Still, professional gamers from Asia are taking their talents to North America in hopes of securing the bag. It’s no secret, the best professional League of Legends players in the world mostly reside in Asia, where the still growing form of entertainment is king. On the other hand, in the United States, a country that normally pounds its chest in the sports dominance department, the U.S. League of Legends is not on the same level as its counterparts in Asia. So how does one correct that issue? Throw money at it, of course. It’s the American way. In a New York Times report, writer Kellen Browning shined the spotlight on North America’s practice of luring away big-name ta...

Big Latto will be the first to tell you her success was “far from overnight.” The 22-year-old MC — who grew up rhyming at block parties, eventually rising through the local scene in Atlanta and opening for bigger rappers when she was still a teenager — is finally bubbling up globally, though it’s not because of one particular moment. The way she explains, it’s the culmination of years of hard work. “I paid my dues to be where I’m at right now,” she tells MTV. As MTV’s Push artist for January recently described, 2021 is just a continuation of her time: “Sometimes I don’t even be realizing what’s really going on. So sometimes you just gotta take a step back and soak it all in.” While she’s reflecting on her road ag...
Dustin Diamond, best known for playing Screech on NBC’s beloved 1980s and ’90s teen sitcom Saved By the Bell, has died, outlets are reporting. The 44-year-old actor was diagnosed with carcinoma, a type of cancer, three weeks ago and entered the hospital, Variety reports. “In that time, it managed to spread rapidly throughout his system; the only mercy it exhibited was its sharp and swift execution,” Diamond’s representatives said in a statement. “Dustin did not suffer. He did not have to lie submerged in pain. For that, we are grateful.” Photo by Noel Vasquez/Getty Images In January, his rep told NBC News that Diamond had begun chemotherapy for stage 4 lung cancer. Diamond’s showbiz break came in 1989, when Saved By the Bell premiered and qui...
