Former MEGADETH Members Team Up With Ex-FIREWIND Singer, Former FATES WARNING Bassist In New Project
Former MEGADETH drummer Shawn Drover has launched a new project with his brother, and fellow ex-MEGADETH member, Glen Drover. The as-yet-unnamed band also features former FATES WARNING bassist Joe DiBiase and German singer Henning Basse, who has previously played with FIREWIND, METALIUM and MAYAN. In a new interview with the “Nothing Shocking” podcast, Shawn stated about the new project: “We started working on some music probably a couple of months ago now. It’s been a couple of months. We’ve been talking about doing something. Coachella Postponed for Third Time Due to COVID-19
Encore? For the third time, the Coachella Music and Arts Festival has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Via Billboard, Coachella’s sister country festival Stagecoach Country has also been pushed back. Coachella takes place almost every year in Indio, California. Last year’s event, scheduled for April, was meant to be headlined by Rage Against the Machine, Frank Ocean, Travis Scott, and Lana Del Rey, before the novel coronavirus waylaid those plans. A couple of months after releasing their first new music in 15 years, System of a Down have shared a poignant video for “Genocidal Humanoidz.” The visuals blend footage of the band performing with an animated story showing Armenian resilience and were directed by SOAD’s Shavo Odadjian and Deep Sky Animation’s Adam Mason. In the clip, a young boy visits the ruins of a wartorn village. Demons begin materializing, but so do forget-me-nots (the symbol of the Armenian genocide centennial).
