New QUEENSRŸCHE Drummer CASEY GRILLO Is Involved In Songwriting For Next Album

QUEENSRŸCHE singer Todd La Torre has confirmed to “The Signals Of Intuition” that he and his bandmates have commenced the songwriting process for the follow-up to 2019’s “The Verdict” album. The group’s next disc will apparently mark the QUEENSRŸCHE recording debut of Casey Grillo who replaced original drummer Scott Rockenfield in 2017. According to Jiu-Jitsu Times, MEGADETH leader Dave Mustaine now a purple belt in jiu-jitsu. The 59-year-old musician was promoted to the new rank almost two years after earning the first stripe on his blue belt. He was promoted by Reggie Almeida, who leads Gracie Barra Spring Hill in Tennessee, near Mustaine‘s hometown of Franklin. Almeida shared the good news on the gym’s social media, writing last Thursday (January 14): “After 2 years as a blue belt and hard training and lots of ups and downs today I had the honor to promote Mr @davemustaine to his well deserved purple belt ! Early Radiohead Demo With Unheard Songs From Late ’80s Up for Auction

A cassette demo containing three previously unheard and undocumented songs by On A Friday, the band become Radiohead in 1991, is up for auction. The six-song tape is expected to bring about $2,700. The current bid at Omega Auctions is about $2,000. The unheard tunes are titled “Promise Me,” “Boy In A Box” and “These Chains.” The other three songs on the demo are “Happy Song,” “To Be A Brilliant Light” and “Sinking Ship.” The auction ends on Jan. 26.
