The owners of the Forum in Los Angeles are making good use of the arena in the absence of live music and sports. L.A. Ali Love, Nicky Night Time, and Breakbot Join Forces for “Ubiquity”

A true cosmopolitan tune, “Ubiquity” is the joint effort of three budding artists at opposite ends of the globe. Australian producer Nicky Night Time, English singer and musician Ali Love, and LA-based beatsmith Breakbot have combined musical forces for a hypnotizing single that transports listeners straight to a dreamy disco dance floor. “Ubiquity” applies classic disco synths, funky bass riffs, and a groovy vocal for a euphoric result. YouTube Show Traces Eric Prydz’s “Call On Me” Sample to Its Obscure Roots

A new YouTube program called “Show Me The Sample,” which traces samples from hit songs to their origins, recently featured a piece of dance music history in Eric Prydz‘s “Call On Me.” Hosts Felix Leiter and Dan Nightingale track the song’s iconic hook back to 1982 with the release of English artist Steve Winwood‘s “Valerie.” The song, written by Will Jennings, is about American singer-songwriter Valerie Carter, who was a backup vocalist for Linda Ronstadt, James Taylor, and more before launching a solo career of her own. In the early 1980s, Carter’s career was believed to be in decline due to drug use. Over 20 years later, Prydz would go on to sample the song for “Call On Me.” Prydz presented the track to Winwood,...

PAUL SHORTINO: ‘Denying The President And Others The Right To Express Opinions Is Dangerous To The Nation’

Former ROUGH CUTT and QUIET RIOT frontman Paul Shortino has criticized Twitter for permanently suspending President Donald Trump‘s account. Twitter suspended the president’s personal account, @realDonaldTrump, citing “the risk of further incitement of violence.” Earlier this week, Shortino took to his...
