“One of the components of Save Our Stages Act is that should this continue longer than any of us want it to continue — which it already has — but should there be a need for additional funds, it’s part of the language of this program,” said Rev. Moose on the panel, adding that the act takes into account that more funding could be necessary depending on the duration of the pandemic. Rev. Moose continued that while he is not a “political soothsayer,” he does believe the bipartisan appeal of the SOS Act could mean an easier and more efficient path to additional funding if venues are forced to keep their doors shuttered for longer than expected. “I don’t know what the future is going to bring, but I would hope that if there is a need for additional COVID funding, that the government...

Eric Christopher—vocalist of Hospital Bracelet—was already considering music as a full time job before making it a reality. “I was debating this decision for weeks,” they tell SPIN over the phone on a December night. “Then, it was on our last day of tour and I ran into my friend at our last show. They were talking to me and were like, ‘I dropped out of medical school and now I’m a full time musician in three bands and I love it more than I probably would’ve ever loved being a doctor.’” The following day, Christopher, 19 now and 18 at the time, called their mom to tell her they were dropping out of college. It was the day before they were supposed to return to classes. This tour—due to the pandemic—ended up being the only one they were able to go on, but it was enough to convince them that ...
Over the weekend, Lana Del Rey revealed the tracklist and cover art for her upcoming album, Chemtrails Over the Country Club. Now, she’s shared the title track, along with a fittingly retro music video. She’s also confirmed a March 19th release date for the album. “Chemtrails Over the Country Club” is the latest sneak peek at what to expect from Del Rey’s seventh LP, following the previously released single “Let Me Love You Like a Woman”. It should be a shoo-in favorite for most of her fans, as it sees Del Rey lacing her glamorous, drawn-out singing style with plenty of vivid and romantic lyrics. Watch the visuals for the song — which features Del Rey in her patented face mask — below. The single’s release comes just a day after LDR started 2021 like she spent most of last year: with ...
Queen guitarist, astrophysicist, and friend to all animals, Brian May has been fighting to protect badgers for more than a decade now. The small omnivores are often slaughtered in the UK to reduce the spreading of bovine tuberculosis. For his latest campaign to save the creatures, May has released a new perfume line that’s not only dedicated to badgers, it actually smells like them, too. The aromatic product is called Save Me, which also happens to be the name of a 1980 Queen single penned by May. Its product page lists fragrance notes like pink pepper, jasmine, sandalwood, and musk, but according to the nose of one reporter from The Sun (via Stereogum), the combination of earthy tones results in “a hint of clean badger fur.” Yum. May hasn’t outright described his perfume as badg...
