Barry Gibb Set for U.K. No. 1 With ‘Greenfields’

The Bee Gees, who were inducted into the Rock Hall back in 1997, have ruled the U.K. albums chart just once, with 1979’s Spirits Having Flown, though the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack, which features several contributions from the vocal group, led the national chart for a whopping 18 weeks. As fans remember David Bowie on what would have been 74th birthday and the fifth anniversary of his passing, the iconic singer’s Legacy (Parlophone) collection vaults 31-10. Also impacting the chart blast is Swedish post-punk group Viagra Boys, whose second studio album Welfare Jazz (Year0001) bows at No. 25, while Gold career retrospectives from British rockers Ian Hunter & Mott The Hoople (No. 18 via Crimson) and “Final Countdown” singers Europe (No. 34 also via Crimson) are eying Top 40 de...

ICED EARTH’s STU BLOCK: ‘I Absolutely Do Not Support’ Anything That Any Protester Was Involved In During Capitol Hill Riot

ICED EARTH singer Stu Block has clarified a social media post he made last week that suggested he was supporting the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol. On January 6, Stu, the Canadian-born vocalist who has fronted ICED EARTH since 2011, appeared to take pleasure in the grim images out of Washington during the pro-Donald Trump riot on Capitol Hill, writing in a since-deleted post on his Facebook page: “Oh it’s happening! History in the making. Sending love to my friends in the US and all over the world!” When a follower asked if he was “condemning what happened,” Block responded, “And where in my statement would you get that impression?” In the last few days, as news outlets published more and more videos, photos and testimonials from the riot on Cap...

PAUL STANLEY’s Son EVAN STANLEY Taps ‘Breaking Bad’ Star BRYAN CRANSTON For ‘Memories’ Video

Evan Stanley, the son of KISS‘s Paul Stanley, has released the official music video for his cover version of MAROON 5‘s “Memories”. The Kristian Lundin-directed clip features “Breaking Bad” star Bryan Cranston. “A lot of that drive is open desert with nothing around, and at one point I saw my fuel gauge getting lower with no gas station in sight. It got me pretty nervous about getting stranded, but also gave me an amazing idea,” Evan Stanley said in a statement. “I had recently recorded my own version of MAROON 5‘s ‘Memories’, but didn’t want to make just another cover video. Bryan Cranston‘s created some of the most iconic characters in history, so I’m beyond lucky that he was willing to come on board and ...

EVANESCENCE’s AMY LEE Talks ‘The Bitter Truth’ Album, ‘Yeah Right’ Single

During a recent chat with Kerrang!, EVANESCENCE singer Amy Lee was asked if the band’s latest single “Yeah Right” was a good indication of the kind of “curveballs” fans can expect from the band’s upcoming album “The Bitter Truth”. She responded: “I think there’s definitely more where that came from… “When making a complete album, especially after all this time, I always want to just put out a statement, like, ‘This is where we’re at, this is who we are’ — it has to be a whole spectrum of emotions and reflections that make up who you are, who the band is,” she continued. “So far, I feel like each song that we put out is a very different colour of the spectrum and there are more colors yet to come...

The Inheritance Of Beauty – WINTERAGE

RATING: 7/10 Even as this year begins to look like an even shittier version of 2020, there are always opportunities to be transported away to more glittering, grandiose and welcoming realms. Aspiring purveyors of a very Italian strain of symphonic power metal, WINTERAGE may yet lack the incisive compositional flair to propel them to the top of the bombastic tree, but “The Inheritance Of Beauty” is an assured and enormously promising effort. The follow-up to 2015’s good-but-not-great “The Harmonic Passage”, this crackles with renewed passion and pomp, as if the Genoa quintet have finally clicked into the gear their earlier music only hinted at. Graced with a strong, if slightly bass-starved production, these songs belong firmly in the niche box marked “sy...

#BRUHNews: Charlie Sykes Called Lindsey Graham Donald Trump’s “Fluffer”, Allegedly

Source: Pool / Getty For the past few years Republican Senator Lindsey Graham has been getting all the slander for brown-nosing Donald Trump every chance he’s given. But conservative talk show host Charlie Sykes took things a step further and referred to Graham as Donald Trump’s personal penile concierge. During an interview on Joy Reid’s The ReidOut on MSNBC, the OG conservative Republican went for Lindsey’s jugular when talking about Graham’s enabling of Trump’s worst impulses and said Lindsey Graham “has been Donald Trump’s fluffer for the last four years.” Knowing the connotation behind the reference, Johnson burst out in laughter while Sykes continued to make his point. So – Charlie Sykes called Lindsey Graham “Donald Trump’s FLUFFER for the last four years.” Peep Jason Johnson’...

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Wants To Impeachment Keep Foot On Donald Trump’s Neck

Source: Drew Angerer / Getty While it will be just over a week before President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris will be sworn into office, the political horizon in Washington looks like scorched land. After the horrific act of domestic terrorism at the U.S. Capitol building, GOP leadership warns that the Democrats’ desire to impeach Donald Trump a second time is bad business but AOC isn’t having that. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was a guest on ABC’s This Week program just days after the so-called insurrection at the Capitol building on Jan. 6. AOC, as she’s often called in the media, has earned a reputation as a tough-talking congresswoman while staying true to her strong political convictions. In a letter addressed to President-elect Biden supported by some of the...
