Ex-GUNS N’ ROSES Drummer MATT SORUM On His Upcoming Autobiography: ‘I Didn’t Wanna Come Off Jaded’

During a recent appearance on the “Stop! Drop & Talk” podcast, ormer GUNS N’ ROSES drummer Matt Sorum spoke about his upcoming autobiography, “Double Talkin’ Jive: True Rock ‘N’ Roll Stories From The Drummer Of Guns N’ Roses, The Cult, And Velvet Revolver”, which will now arrive in April 2021 after being delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. “I named it after a GUNS N’ ROSES song, ‘Double Talkin’ Jive’,” Matt said (see video below). “[Then-GUNS N’ ROSES guitarist] Izzy Stradlin wrote that song. We played it together — on the [‘Use Your Illusion I’] album, me and Izzy tracked that in one take. And the premise of the lyric was based around the kind of pitfalls of the music...

STEVE RILEY Says His Version Of L.A. GUNS ‘Definitely Sounds Different’ From PHIL LEWIS/TRACII GUNS Version

Steve Riley‘s version of L.A. GUNS recently released its first album, also titled “Renegades”, via Golden Robot Records. Riley‘s version of L.A. GUNS is not to be confused with the band led by guitarist Tracii Guns and vocalist Phil Lewis, which issued two well-received albums, “The Missing Peace” and “The Devil You Know”, plus the live release “Made In Milan”, under the L.A. GUNS name over the last three years. Riley is joined in his version of the group by Orlando, Florida-based guitarist/vocalist Kurt Frohlich, bassist Kelly Nickels (a member of L.A. GUNS‘ “classic” incarnation) and guitarist Scott Griffin (who played bass for the band from 2007 until 2009, and then again from 2011 to 2014). Asked in a new int...

Paul McCartney to People Who Think Masks Infringe on Civil Liberties: ‘That Is Stupid’

On Friday, Paul McCartney finished his McCartney album trilogy with the release of McCartney III. On Sunday, he visited CBS This Morning to chat about making the record at home during “rockdown,” and likened it to other quarantine activities, like baking bread and cleaning. “The other thing people have been doing has been cleaning out their closets. So that’s a bit what [McCartney III] was,” Macca explained. “I just started cleaning out my cupboards. Like, ‘What about that song last year that I started but never got to finish. ‘Let’s have a look at that, let’s finish this.” As with his other namesake albums, McCartney played all the instruments on his new collection of songs; however, he was reluctant to work with anyone aside from a few engineers at his house...

“John McClain was like, ‘Man, Michael don’t want that s–t! He want the s–t you givin’ Noreaga!'” Pharrell continued, noting that this was right before the King of Pop’s “You Rock My World” era. He also shared that it was one of his collaborations with N.O.R.E. that Jackson wanted. ” He was like, ‘Yo, he want that “Superthug.”‘ The rejection turned out to be a major win for Timberlake. Justified — which Pharrell produced the majority of — dropped in November 2002 and went on to peak at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, and has since been certified triple platinum. The former *NSYNC member is credited with co-writing with all 13 tracks. It turns out that Michael Jackson wasn’t the only mega ...

Paul McCartney Again Questions Whether The Beatles Would’ve Reunited If John Lennon Had Lived

This isn’t the first time McCartney has discussed whether The Beatles would’ve performed together again after splitting in 1969. In 2012, the legendary songwriter told Rolling Stone that “there was talk of re-forming The Beatles a couple of times but “it didn’t jell, there was not enough passion behind the idea.” Lennon was murdered by Mark David Chapman in 1980, followed by George Harrison‘s death from cancer in 2001. Ringo Starr and McCartney are the only surviving members of The Beatles. During his CBS Sunday Morning interview, McCartney also discussed self-recording his new solo album, McCartney III, in isolation at his Sussex studio earlier this year. “It’s not like working with the band, because I know what I want to hear, and I d...

“We always wanted to do a video for this song but we were locked down in different parts of the world,” Eazi said in a news release. “It was beautiful linking up and coming up with this concept in a way where we were still in the video together, sharing the energy. It captures the entire mood of the song, and the dancers were super outstanding.” “Lento” dropped in early December through Eazi’s Banku Music/emPawa Africa imprint. The Killertunes-produced track marks the third collab between Eazi and Balvin. They previously teamed up on the song “Como Un Bebé” (from the reggaeton star’s 2019 album, Oasis) and “Arcoíris” (featured on Balvin’s latest Colores album). It’s set in the Irish countryside, and stars Emily Blunt and Jamie Dornan, two very attractive people. But as I watched a very odd man played by Dornan buzz around his romantic feelings for a very charming woman played by Blunt, something began to nag at me. Somewhere in the distance, outside the movie itself, I heard sirens. I could tell that the Accent...
