Daddy Issues: Why Teen Mom 2‘s Briana Doesn’t Want History To Repeat Itself For Her Daughters

Briana expressed that it makes her “sad” that her daughters Nova and Stella don’t know their dads (Devoin and Luis, respectively) the way they should. And during tonight’s Teen Mom 2 episode, the mother of two tried to strengthen her little girls’ bonds with their fathers. First, Briana wanted her eldest to spend the night at Devoin’s — but Nova was not comfortable with this idea. “You don’t have to go,” Briana told Nova at the dinner table (Stella, Bri’s sister Brittany and Bri’s mom Roxanne were also present). “She’s used to us girls being here and not boys.” Briana then asked Nova if she “liked spending time” with Devoin, prompting Stella to make a sad declaration. “I don’t ...

DON DOKKEN On QUIET RIOT Drummer FRANKIE BANALI: ‘I Was Sad To See Him Pass’

DOKKEN leader Don Dokken has reflected on the passing of QUIET RIOT drummer Frankie Banali. Banali, who joined QUIET RIOT in 1982 and played on its breakthrough album, 1983’s “Metal Health”, the first heavy metal LP to top Billboard‘s album chart, died in August after a 16-month battle with pancreatic cancer. Speaking to Rock Confidental, Don said about Frankie: “It’s interesting. Frankie played in DOKKEN. We did, like, five shows with him. It was right after the Germany tour in ’79. Greg Pecka left the band for religious issues. He was a Scientologist. I actually went back to Germany in 1980 and had another lineup. I ended up getting Gary Holland to play drums on the next tour. That was my connection to why I ended up producing the first GREAT WHI...

SLASH: EDDIE VAN HALEN Was A Guitar ‘Innovator,’ ‘A Gifted Musician’ And ‘An Amazing Artist’

Slash has once again paid tribute to Eddie Van Halen, calling him a guitar “innovator,” “a gifted musician” and “an amazing artist.” The GUNS N’ ROSES guitarist offered his latest comments in a new interview with Consquence Of Sound which focused primarily on the new GUNS N’ ROSES pinball machines, as well as his new custom collection with Gibson Guitars. Slash said: “The thing about Eddie is that he was such a gifted musician. Any instrument he had chosen to play would have been phenomenal, because he just had that pure musical talent. And he chose guitar, because that’s what turned him on. And for somebody with that kind of musical talent to get turned on to rock ‘n’ roll guitar was sort of unique unto itself, becaus...

LIQUID TENSION EXPERIMENT Has Commenced Work On First Studio Album In More Than 20 Years

DREAM THEATER keyboardist Jordan Rudess has teased a reunion of LIQUID TENSION EXPERIMENT, his instrumental progressive rock/metal project with fellow DREAM THEATER member John Petrucci (guitar), alongside ex-DREAM THEATER drummer Mike Portnoy and progressive rock icon Tony Levin (bass) of KING CRIMSON and PETER GABRIEL fame. The band has not performed live since 2008, when it embarked on a brief tour commemorating the tenth anniversary of its self-titled debut. Earlier today, Rudess shared what appears to be a recent photo of the four members of LIQUID TENSION EXPERIMENT wearing masks, with each mask featuring either a letter of the alphabet or a number. The resultant phrase, “LTE3”, is an apparent reference to the fact that LIQUID TENSION EXPERIMENT is working on its third st...

MARK TREMONTI On Key To ALTER BRIDGE’s Success: ‘Working Hard And Connecting With The Fans’

In a recent interview with Spain’s EMP, ALTER BRIDGE guitarist Mark Tremonti was asked to name the key to the band’s enduring success. We’ve always put everything we can into our music, and we love to perform and we love to meet the people that appreciate the music. I think just working hard at what you love to do… We work hard. Taylor Swift Isn’t So Sure She & Joe Alwyn Would Have Made Music Together If It Weren’t for Lockdown

One of the songs to come from their new musical partnership was Folklore‘s “Exile,” Swift’s duet with Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon. “We’re so proud of that one,” she said. “Also because I do remember the exact moment that I walked in and he was playing that exact piano part. And all I had to do was follow the piano melody with the verse melody. So because the vocal melody is exactly the same, pretty much it’s mirrored with the piano part that he wrote. And we did the same thing with [new Bon Iver-featuring song] ‘Evermore,’ where I’ll just kind of hear what he’s doing and it’s exactly, it’s all there. All I have to do is dream up some lyrics and come up with some gut-wrenching, heart-shattering stor...

Really, even casual fans of NBC’s talent quest knew Rubin was a strong chance to take the grand prize ever since the Blind Auditions when, aged just 14, he blew away viewers with his cover of “Before You Go” by Lewis Capaldi.
