STEPHEN PEARCY ‘May Be Pausing’ RATT In 2021, Says His Guitarist ERIK FERENTINOS

Guitarist Erik Ferentinos, who has played with RATT singer Stephen Pearcy for nearly two decades, says that RATT fans shouldn’t expect much activity from the band in 2021. “I think [Stephen] may be pausing the RATT thing this coming year and he’s gonna go solo,” Erik said during an appearance on “The Classic Metal Show” (hear audio below). “And I don’t know — maybe we’ll see a reunion with the real dudes, which is what I think they should do,” he added, apparently referring to a potential reunion of all the surviving members of RATT‘s classic lineup. “They’re not getting any younger.” According to Ferentinos, Pearcy will “go back out and play solo shows in 2021” whether the coronavirus crisis ha...

According to Noise11, AC/DC‘s “Power Up” has has become the band’s longest-running No.1 album in Australia, as it tops the Australian ARIA Albums Chart for the third week in a row. AC/DC is the only Australian group in history to have had a No. 1 album in its home country across five decades: “Back In Black” (1980s), “Ballbreaker Live” (1990s), “Black Ice” (2000s), “Rock Or Bust” (2010s) and “Power Up” (2020s). “Power Up” holds Germany’s biggest first week of 2020 and the bigges...

Steve Aoki & Travis Barker Proclaim ‘You’re the Best’ at 2020 MTV Movie & TV Awards

If you’re going to honor the “Greatest of All Time,” there’s only one thing you can say: You’re the best around. At Sunday night’s “MTV Movie & TV Awards: Greatest of All Time” special, Steve Aoki and Travis Barker acted as the night’s house band, with Aoki spinning classic movie music (think “Footloose” after Kevin Bacon accepted the GOAT: Dance Your Ass Off award) as Barker banged away on his drum set along to the songs. While they  gave us little snippets throughout the night, the duo wrapped up the Vanessa Hudgens-hosted show with a full finale of Joe Esposito‘s “You’re the Best” from the 1984 Karate Kid soundtrack, in honor of William Zabka’s GOAT: Zero to Hero prize. Aoki and Bark...

Music Video Kids Reflect on Appearances in Iconic Clips: ‘It Was Pure Luck’

Before MTV would be rendered extraneous, record labels would fork over millions for bands and artists to produce memorable music videos that helped build anticipation for an album’s release and propel its sales. The music video became an invaluable promotional tool, and over time, as directors continued to push the limits of what was possible in three to five minutes, the medium evolved into something of its own art form. Today, music videos are largely a lost art, with more skin than substance — more elaborate dance numbers than elaborate storylines. Some of the most memorable videos during the height of the MTV era featured children, and we wanted to know where they are now. SPIN tracked down some of our favorites to see what they’ve been up to since making their marks in some extre...

Farm Aid at 35

In July 1985, Bob Dylan stood on stage at Live Aid and suggested a concert just for America’s farmers. Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp ran with the idea, and on Sept. 22, 1985, Farm Aid held its first concert in Champaign, Illinois in front of 80,000 people, featuring performances by its founders, as well as Dylan, Billy Joel, Bonnie Raitt, B.B. King, Loretta Lynn, Roy Orbison and Tom Petty. The concert raised over $7 million.  That’s when Willie knew he needed an executive director to keep the motor running. He chose Carolyn Mugar, a renowned activist for social issues and a driven community leader, and thirty-five-years later, Farm Aid has raised close to $60 million to keep family farmers on their land. Much more than an annual concert, Farm Aid works year-round ...

How You Doin?: The Trailer for Wendy Williams’ Biopic With Lifetime Is Juicy AF

Source: Astrid Stawiarz / Getty Lifetime is blessing fans with a biopic of Wendy Williams and the accompanying trailer looks like the flick is holding nothing back from her controversial life story. Starring The Oval actress Ciera Payton as the messy media maven, the film chronicles her ascent from her early days as an ambitious radio jockey to her daytime TV show, and tackles all the juicy drama in between it all. Fans will recognize stories of her legendary radio interview with the late Whitney Houston, her battle with coke addiction, the infamous on-air fainting spell, and her failed marriage with ex-husband and known philander, Kevin Hunter.  That story could probably have its own Lifetime film treatment. If you recall, Hunter was involved in a longtime relationship with a mistres...

TOKiMONSTA Drops Surprise Album “Oasis Nocturno (Instrumentals)”

After treating her fans this year to not one, but two full length albums, Oasis Nocturno and Oasis Nocturno (Remixed), Los Angeles born and raised artist TOKiMONSTA is closing out 2020 with yet another version of her entire original album, this time titled Oasis Nocturno (Instrumentals).  Released December 4th via Young Arts Records, the project takes all 12 tracks from Oasis Nocturno and strips them down to just their dreamy electronic compositions.
