BTS’s new album BE has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. BE bowed with 242,000 equivalent album units, Billboard’s all-in-one metric that combines album sales and different measures of streaming. These strong numbers were buoyed by “Dynamite”, the global smash that set records as the first K-pop single to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. SEVENDUST drummer Morgan Rose released his debut solo EP, “Controlled Chaos”, on November 27 via Rise Records. Morgan co-wrote the EP with SEVENDUST bandmate Clint Lowery. With Clint on guitar and Jason Christopher (COREY TAYLOR, PRONG) on bass, Morgan tracked six songs in less than ten days at The Lair in Culver City, California. Lil Yase Shot & Killed Near Dublin BART Station, Authorities Say
Source: Lil Yase / Instagram Details have emerged regarding the passing of Bay Area rapper Lil Yase. Authorities report that Yase was shot and killed near the Dublin BART station stop over the weekend. Yase, real name Alexander Mark Antonyyo Jr., was in the Dublin area, which sits east of the bay, early Saturday morning where he was reportedly shot according to the Mercury News. Not much is known about the events that lead up to the shooting, nor has any witness account been produced as of yet. Dave Matthews, Haim, Brandon Boyd of Incubus and 37 other artists will pay tribute to Yusuf/Cat Stevens with live performances this week. The CatSong Festival will honor the 50th anniversary of his 1970 albums Tea for the Tillerman and Mona Bone Jakon. “It’s great to see and hear these covers of my songs given new life,” Yusuf said in a statement. “There’s no better honor for a songwriter than to have his songs performed by talented musicians with such love and sincerity.
