Richard Donner to Direct New Lethal Weapon Movie at 91 Years Old
Earlier this year, word got out that a new installment of Lethal Weapon was in the works. Now, the franchise’s longtime director Richard Donner has confirmed that he’s both directing and producing the film at the young age of 91 years old. Donner sat down with The Telegraph for a story about his 1978 Superman film, and at one point the news of his upcoming project surfaced. That’s when Donner couldn’t help but confirm some key details about his involvement in it. “This is the final one,” he said. “It’s both my privilege and duty to put it to bed. It’s exciting, actually!
