Tony Iommi (BLACK SABBATH) has paid tribute to MOUNTAIN‘s Leslie West, who died Wednesday (December 23) at the age of 75. The iconic guitarist, vocalist, songwriter and storyteller suffered cardiac arrest at his home near Daytona, Florida on Monday (December 21) and was rushed to a hospital, where he never regained consciousness. PAUL STANLEY’s R&B Band SOUL STATION To Release Debut Album In March
In a new interview with Scott Lipps, Paul Stanley confirmed that the debut LP from his R&B band SOUL STATION will be released in March. The effort, which was recorded over a period of several months, will be preceded by “a couple of singles.” Speaking about how the idea for SOUL STATION came about, Paul said (see video below): “I was really lucky, because, before I ever saw [LED] ZEPPELIN or any of the British bands that I grew to love, or the blues bands that I saw, I saw Otis Redding as a kid, I saw Solomon Burke and THE TEMPTATIONS. SABATON To Begin Recording New Album ‘In A Few Days’
Swedish metallers SABATON will enter the studio “in a few days” to begin recording their next album. The upcoming LP will be the follow-up to “The Great War”, which came out in July 2019 via Nuclear Blast Records. The band’s 20th-anniversary record was a concept effort covering stories from the First World War. The news of SABATON‘s recording plans was broken earlier today in a Christmas video message from singer Joakim Brodén and his bandmates. He said: “Hello everyone. This 16-track effort marks Lil Durk’s second full-length of 2020, coming just a few months after Just Cause Y’all Waited 2.
