Harry Styles Hung Out at a Fan’s House (& Fed Her Fish) After His Car Broke Down

Thankfully, Styles left her a note. “Theadora, my car broke down on your street and your dad’s friend kindly let me wait at your house with a cup of tea,” he wrote. “I’m devastated that we missed each other. Looking forward to meeting soon. Treat people with kindness.” He also noted that he fed her fish, took photos with said fish and signed her copy of his album Fine Line. “Sending you all my love, I’m so sorry we missed each other,” he wrote. “Until next time, Harry.” While Theadora’s Instagram account is private (likely due to the viral story), she left a cute message in her bio, sharing that the fish nourished by Styles is, in fact, named Harry. See it all via a Twitter fanpage below. You Deserve to Make Money...

Crowded House Return With ‘Whatever You Want’ Starring Mac DeMarco: Watch

“Waking up with the fear after last night’s revelry. We can all relate to that,” says Finn of the music video. “Thanks to Mac for working through the pain and showing us redemption.” It’s a bolt out of the blue for a cherished band with fans spread across the globe, but whose members had splintered off to pursue other musical endeavors though the 2010s. Crowded House were inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2016, in recognition of a stellar international career which now spans 35 years. They’ve topped the ARIA Albums Chart with five LPs, collected 13 ARIA Awards and hold the title for highest-selling Australian album of all time by a group with 1996’s Recurring Dream: The Very Best of Crowded House, which topped the national chart for eight weeks en route to 13-times platinum sales. Time’s just about up. Elvis Costello drops his new album Hey Clockface this Friday (Oct. 30), his first full-length release since 2018’s Look Now. Recorded partly during lockdown, the LP features the previously released numbers “We Are All Cowards,” “No Flag,” “Hetty O’Hara Confidential” and “Party Girl,” which the British legend performed Wednesday night (Oct. 28) on Stephen Colbert’s The Late Show. The Grammy-winning Rock and Roll Hall of Famer was joined with Jon Batiste for a rendition that was both vivid, loud, jagged, intimate and beautiful, all those elements Costello says he injected into the new album. GRiZ Shares Preview of Soulful, Glitched Out Unreleased Bass Track

Most artists don’t have the ability to hop on social media and send their fanbase into a frenzy by sharing simple previews of new music. GRiZ, however, isn’t most artists. As if releasing a new EP and a full mixtape in the span of one month wasn’t enough, EDM’s de facto Funkmaster General took to Instagram today to tease more new music, sharing a preview of a massive unreleased bass tune. The yet-to-be-named ID strays from the ferocious dubstep flavors of his recent releases, instead boasting uplifting, breezy chord progressions and a soulful vocal refrain of “you’re gonna wanna be high for this, alive for this.” The drop, however, is signature GRiZ with it’s head-bopping cadence and wonky yet groovy bass patches. Check out the preview below, ...

The Knocks Reunite With Foster the People for New Single “All About You”

The summer of 2018 saw The Knocks and Foster the People dominating the charts with their hit single “Ride or Die.” It earned over 100 million streams, was the #1 single on the iTunes Dance chart and spent over 22 weeks on Billboard’s Dance chart. They have now reunited to recreate the magic with a brand new single called “All About You.”  The new track is the second single off their yet-to-be-named third full-length LP. It features the irresistible, feel-good energy that have helped both acts become the renowned artists they are today. It’s the type of track that exudes the effortless cool factor, as Mark Foster‘s voice paired with the production feels as if you are traversing through a kaleidoscopic visualizer.  This year, The ...

Saltee Impresses on Subciety Presents With Drum & Bass Single “Among the Accursed”

Earlier this month, Subciety Presents unveiled the tenth volume of its The Subscription compilation series. The eight-track compilation features stellar drum & bass talent such as Lousy Anna, Stoic, Yung Abner, and more. One of the release’s standouts is Denver-based Saltee‘s dark and driving single, “Among the Accursed.” Drawing its influence and title from Dark Souls, “Among the Accursed” reflects the video game’s themes of the balance between light and dark. Intense reese basses drone along as the drum breaks roll on, perfect for an energizing gaming session. As a series of metallic foes are vanquished, a brief melodic intermission appears until the next set of challengers are encountered. While the drum & bass genre is un...

Crowded House Release First New Single in 10 Years, Music Video Starring Mac DeMarco: Stream

Crowded House have released their first new music in a decade. It’s a single called “Whatever You Want” and it comes with a music video starring a very hallucinatory Mac DeMarco. The Australian rockers have been pretty quiet over the past decade, but perhaps that’s about to change with the release of “Whatever You Want”. It follows their 2010 album Intriguer, but it doesn’t sound out of shape. In fact, the single sounds as lively and composed as something Crowded House would have released in the early 2000s, not to mention lead singer Neil Finn sounds his best. In the music video, directed by Nina Ljeti, DeMarco wakes up from a drunken stupor on a couch, trophy in hand, and shakes off some troubling flashbacks. As he goes about getting ready for the day, he begins hallucinating conversatio...

Fundraiser for Borat 2 Babysitter Raises Over $80,000

By and large, the job of Sacha Baron Cohen in Borat Subsequent Moviefilm is to dupe people into revealing how terrible they really are. Just ask Rudy Giuliani. But not everyone in the new film comes off as a villain; in fact, audiences loved 62-year-old babysitter Jeanise Jones so much that they’ve raised over $80,000 for her in a fundraiser set up by her pastor. Jones is featured in a segment where she serves as babysitter to Borat’s daughter, Tutar Sagdiyev (Bulgarian actress Maria Bakalova). Shocked by the sexist and misogynistic beliefs to which the supposedly teenage girl adheres, Jones does her best to lift the veil on the lies. In one scene, Jones reads Tutar her favorite story about a girl who got swallowed by her own “vagine” because she tried to touch herself. In another, she exp...

Bruce Springsteen Yearns for a Return to America’s Glory Days: “We’ve Lost So Much in So Short a Time”

For everyone who loved the chorus of “Born in the USA” and glossed over the verses, it may come as a surprise to learn that Bruce Springsteen is not a fan of Donald Trump. In the most recent episode of his SiriusXM radio show “From My Home to Yours”, The Boss shared a prose poem lamenting that “There’s no art in this White House,” and mourning how “we’ve lost so much in so short a time.” The episode’s full title was “From My Home To Yours, Volume 14: Farewell To The Thief.” Capturing the national psyche, his election episode was also a horror episode. “It is time for an exorcism in our nation’s Capital,” Springsteen said to being the program. “Welcome to our Halloween/election day monster mash.” He added, “In just a few days, we’ll be throwing the bums out. I thought it was a fucking night...

Neil Young’s Older Brother Bob Young Launches Music Career at 78 Years Old

At barely 21 years old, Neil Young released his first album with Buffalo Springfield in 1966 and then, two years later, dropped his self-titled solo debut. Ever since then, the folk rocker has been churning out political anthem after classic rock staple without much pause in between. It’s an equally impressive and intimidating career, but that hasn’t stopped his older brother, Bob Young, from launching a music project of his own at 78 years old. Bob Young uploaded his debut single today out of nowhere. As Exclaim points out, it’s called “Hey America” and it sees the former professional golfer adopt the moniker Young Bob & the Peterboroughs. The group features Bob Young on lead vocals and guitar, Neil Young on harmonica, Ryan Weber on bass, Melissa Pyne on fiddle, Mike Belitsk...
