According to Variety, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE frontman Josh Homme and his estranged wife, THE DISTILLERS‘ Brody Dalle, have listed their Mediterranean-style Hollywood Hills home for $4.75 million. They bought the 4,554-square-foot, four-bedroom and 5.5-bath property in 2012 for $2.5 million. Homme and Dalle also owned a home in Palm Desert, California that was recently sold for $976,000, a bit under the $990,000 they paid for the property a bit more than eleven years earlier. In November 2019, Dalle filed for separation from Homme after 12 years of marriage. The QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE rocker and Dalle got married in 2007 and have three children, 14-year-old daughter Camille, 9-year-old son Orrin, and 4-year-old son Wolf. Watch the Non-Country ‘Voice’ Judges Fight Over Nashville Singer Tanner Gomes

“I think you’re a great singer,” Shelton admitted, before adding, “I already have a lot of country artists on my team, and the best thing for you is to be on a team that has no other country artist.” “Us three are known as the experts on country music on this show,” John Legend joked of the remaining coaches, before Clarkson interjected, “Hey, I grew up on country so you can keep yourself in that little circle.” “I have a number one on country, so hey, riding Blake Shelton’s coattails,” Stefani added, referring to her “Nobody But You” duet with Shelton, which topped the Country Airplay chart. “I am a ska girl from Orange County, California, but the first concert I ever went to was an Emmylou Harris co...

Tobe Nwigwe Bites Into ‘Eat,’ ‘Try Jesus’ at 2020 BET Hip Hop Awards

Wearing a long shirt with the faces of Black people slain by police officers (including Breonna Taylor and George Floyd), rising rapper Tobe Nwigwe got some shine at the 2020 Bet Hip Hop Awards on Tuesday (Oct. 27) evening. The Houston spitter opened with his soul-tinged “Try Jesus” (“Try Jesus, not me / Because I throw hands”) before transitioning into a full-throttled version of “Eat.” Joined by his wife, Fat, the duo bit into the single, delivering a precise and impactful performance of music with a message in a stark, theater-in-the-round set. Nwigwe’s The Pandemic Project dropped this year, and his music recently soundtracked an ad for Apple Music x NBA. You Deserve to Make Money Even When you are looking for Dates Online. In her first appearance at the BET Hip Hop Awards on Tuesday night (Oct. 27), Atlanta rapper Mulatto performed a medley of singles from her breakout year, with a special appearance from local legend Gucci Mane. Appearing from the stage (and then the parking lot) at the world-famous ATL strip club Magic City, Mulatto ran through her Billboard Hot 100 hit “B–ch From Da Souf” and current radio staple “Muwop.” Mane appeared for his guest verse on “Muwop,” which was both titled after the veteran MC’s “Guwop” nickname, and heavily interpolates his 2007 single “Freaky Gurl.” You Deserve to Make Money Even When you are looking for Dates Online. So we reimagined what a dating should be. It begins with giving you back power. Get...

Big Sean Heats Up ‘Body Language’ With Jhene Aiko & Ty Dolla $ign at the 2020 BET Hip Hop Awards

Big Sean brought some famous friends with him when he performed “Body Language” at the 2020 BET Hip Hop Awards on Tuesday (Oct. 27). Along for the ride were track collaborators Ty Dolla $ign and Jhene Aiko. Their steamy performance kicked off with Big Sean and Aiko watching TV on a set built to resemble a bedroom. Outside the “windows,” a massive forest fire burned, casting a red light on everything as the two sang. Later, as Ty Dolla $ign was singing in the fog, lightning flashed. At one point, as Aiko and Big Sean sang, the latter sat down on the bed, with Aiko eventually joining him on his lap. “Bring that body to me/ Baby, come closer, closer/ Bring it to me/ Oh, yeah, baby, I’ll give you ecstasy,” she crooned. You Deserve to Make Money Even Wh...

Assassin’s Creed Live-Action TV Series Coming to Netflix

Assassin’s Creed was adapted for the big screen in 2016, presented as a star-studded slog that seemed to prove the video game’s story was too weird for film. But far be it for such failures to deter Netflix from shelling out a little cash. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the streaming giant is developing a new live-action Assassin’s Creed TV series. What’s more, the show looks to be just the first of many Assassin’s Creed projects coming to Netflix. Video game company Ubisoft has teamed with the streaming service to adapt the franchise into a number of “live-action, animated, and anime series”, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Luckily, they have a lot of material to use for inspiration, with the Assassin’s Creed series spanning 11 games to date, and a 12th coming next month. Many ...

Empress Of Enlists Amber Mark for New Song “You’ve Got to Feel”: Stream

With exactly one week left until the presidential election, experimental pop artist Empress Of has shared a new single featuring Amber Mark called “You’ve Got to Feel” that encourages listeners to make their voices heard. “You’ve Got To Feel” is an infectious dance-pop number that wields synths, airy guitar strums, and spacious reverb to pack a punch. Surprisingly, it doesn’t build towards the traditional pop peak, which makes the song all the more intriguing. With Empress Of manning the role of producer, Mark is free to spit out lines about breaking down capitalism, looking out for your fellow Americans, and choosing to rise above. Stream the single below. Editors’ Picks To coincide with this news, Empress Of has also announced the launch of her own record label, Major Arcana. Expec...

Puscifer’s Maynard James Keenan and Mat Mitchell on Existential Reckoning, Alien Abduction, and More

In the midst of a pandemic and a truly bizarre year, it somehow feels like an ideal time for Puscifer to release a new album. The experimental rock act is back with a new LP, Existential Reckoning, and it’s a fitting document of the times, even if that wasn’t intentional. Led by a core of Maynard James Keenan (Tool), Mat Mitchell, and Carina Round, Puscifer have often thrown out the rulebook when it comes to rock ‘n’ roll. Each album is surrounded by eccentric characters, while the music is equally unconventional. Existential Reckoning is no exception, picking up on the story of the fictional characters Billy D (apparently now abducted by aliens) and his wife, Hildy Berger, as it had left off with 2015’s Money Shot. The new album is shrouded in a cloud of alien activity, from its init...

Johanna Samuels Reveals New Single “High Tide for One”: Stream

Rising songwriter Johanna Samuels has joined the roster of Mama Bird Recording Co., a label known for like-minded folk acts such as Damien Jurado, Vetiver, and Haley Heynderickx. To coincide with the signing announcement, the Los Angeles native is sharing a new single dubbed “High Tide for One”. While 2019 offerings like “Rush of Wheels” and “Supposed to Say” were more of the moody folk variety à la boygenius or Sharon Van Etten, today’s track finds Samuels experimenting with more left-field styles. There’s hints of whimsy in her curling guitars, and following Samuels’ lilting melodies is like taking a leisurely drive across rolling hills. The lyrical focus of “High Tide for One” isn’t as lighthearted, though. According to Samuels, the song was penned in response to watching Dr. Blasey For...

The Music Industry Comes After Twitch’s Music Copyright Solution, “Soundtrack by Twitch”

Twitch‘s battle with the music industry is heating up as some of the industry’s biggest organizations representing copyright holders have penned a frustrated letter to the company. Twitch streamers have come under increased scrutiny this year due to the use of unlicensed music on the platform. A large increase in DMCA takedowns in July ultimately forced Twitch to react drastically, deleting infringing clips and encouraging streamers to do the same or otherwise risk a ban on their account. Shortly thereafter, Jeff Bezos—founder of Twitch’s parent company, Amazon—was questioned by Congress as to whether Twitch should license music, to which he replied, “I don’t know.” Twitch ultimately introduced a solution for the issue called “Soundtrack ...

The Future is Female: Inside “Underplayed,” A New Documentary on Gender Inequity in EDM

In 2017 and 2018, the momentum of the #MeToo and Time’s Up movements swelled to an ineluctable peak. The entertainment industry came to a screeching halt as film, television and music production companies reckoned with the blatant sexism rampant throughout their workplaces—and the dangerous circumstances such inequity can produce. The spotlight is now turning to EDM with the release of a new feature-length documentary called Underplayed. Featuring interviews with women and several male allies working in all aspects of the industry, including sound engineers, producers, journalists and major artists, the film offers timely insights into just how much work is left to be done in electronic music. Of 2019’s top 100 DJs, only five were women, according to the film̵...
