After achieving viral success in 2012 with his “Trap Shit” series on Diplo’s Mad Decent imprint, UZ took his bass-heavy sound to stages around the world, developed his own Quality Goods Records label, and established himself as an underground legend. When Imanbek released his remix of SAINt JHN‘s “Roses” in late 2019, never in his wildest dreams did he think it would lead to this. Riding on the sizzling coattails of his multi-platinum global hit, the Kazakh producer has joined forces with Marshmello for a new single called “Too Much,” which features fabled R&B artist Usher. Arriving by way of RCA Records, the track picks up right where Imanbek’s summer 2020 landmark tune left off. The vocal effort from the latter is nothing short of stellar, lending to a surefire radio hit. Usher is no stranger to the dance music world. He ...

Cristina Soto Releases Acoustic Remix of Illenium and Said The Sky Collab, “Painted White”

Back in June 2020, Cristina Soto revisited her 2012 breakout hit with Tritonal, “Still With Me.” However, that song was far from the only success she had in the dance music scene in the 2010s. In 2015, Soto teamed up with Illenium and Said The Sky to release “Painted White,” and today she has given the collaborative effort a makeover with a scintillating acoustic version of the track. Those familiar with “Painted White” will surely be hit with a blast of nostalgia while listening to her acoustic rendition. Soto’s flawless vocals are unmistakable and pair effortlessly with the gentle guitar riff and light orchestral elements that have replaced the aggressive kicks and distorted synths featured in the original. The lyrics remain exactly the...

HAIM Get a Call from Robert Pattinson During “3 AM” Performance on Seth Meyers: Watch

HAIM have really got this “appearing on a late night talk show during quarantine” thing down. Last month, they set up outside of Los Angeles’ The Forum for a performance on Kimmel. Then on Thursday night, the siblings brought Halloween — and a special guest — to Seth Meyers. The trio’s rendition of “3 AM” from their latest LP, Women in Music Pt. III, opened with a call from Robert Pattinson. Listed in HAIM’s phone as “Emotional Vampire” (get it? ‘Cause of Twilight? You get it…), Pattinson recreated the booty-call intro from the album version of the song. After sending him to voicemail, the band revealed themselves in wedding gowns as (slightly) undead brides set in an exceedingly well-lit backyard. The vibe put a spooky sheen on the R&B jam, including a comically threatening call ...
