Yungblud Wants His New Album To Be Like An Episode Of Euphoria

In the two years since Yungblud‘s debut album, 21st Century Liability, dropped, the wild-haired, punk-infused artist born Dominic Harrison has made a point to turn his live shows into full-bodied community spectacles where everyone is a participant. There’s sweat, screaming, and, above all else, the collective release of a group going through something together. But even as 2020 has made those kinds of experiences impossible, Yungblud has looked to recapture that spirit and distill the intense energy into his second LP. Ahead of the 2020 VMAs, where Dom is nominated (dominated?) for PUSH Best New Artist, the newly 23-year-old Yungblud tells MTV News correspondent Dometi Pongo that this new venture is almost here. In fact, it’s coming in the fall, he tells us, and he says ...

SEETHER frontman Shaun Morgan spoke to Ernie Ball‘s “Striking A Chord” podcast about how he is dealing with the coronavirus crisis. He said (hear audio below). “It’s forced us to look at things very differently, and it’s shining a very big spotlight on a bunch of interesting things. The first thing, obviously, that we’re looking at is we’re looking at how can we still play music for fans and how can we still earn a living. So we’re looking towards streaming platforms and how we can set up shows. We’re setting up production here in Nashville which we can use with full-on video walls and lights and the whole deal — so kind of like it would be at a live show. So it’s a new thing to look at. “You see bands that are doing g...

In an interview published last month, Ek told Music Ally: “Even today on our marketplace, there’s literally millions and millions of artists. Chris Cornell’s Estate Denounces Unauthorized Biopic

Chris Cornell lived one hell of a life as the frontperson of Soundgarden, and someday his story will be told with all the detail, depth, and accuracy it deserves. Unfortunately, it won’t be the upcoming biopic Black Days that does so. Allegedly the movie is “about the last days in the life of grunge music icon Chris Cornell,” but the rocker’s estate has formally denounced the film, issuing a statement to Pitchfork that says the biopic is “not sanctioned or approved by the estate.” A casting call for Black Days on Backstage reveals that production on the film is already underway, with shooting kicking off in Los Angeles next month. Road Rage Films LLC and Amerifilms LLC, which apparently are run by actor and musician Johnny Holiday, are listed as the companies helming the project. As Pitchf...
