In a new interview with Antihero Magazine, Don Dokken spoke to about the difficulties he has had preserving his voice as he gets older and the issues he has encountered trying to reproduce DOKKEN‘s classic material in a live setting. He said: “Yes, it’s been a problem. We get older, and our voices are not like they were when I was 27 or 30 or 35 or 40. When you get older, your voice is not as high as it used to be, so you lose your high notes. And I know every singer in this business, there’s only a few singers that I know that when I see them live, I say, holy shit, they sound just as good as they did when they were 30, and now they’re 70. Klaus Meine [SCORPIONS] still sings amazing. He’s got an amazing voice. He still sounds the same. So I guess itR...

Mark Kozelek, the musician behind Sun Kil Moon and Red House Painters, was accused by three women last week of sexual misconduct; today it was announced that the six November 2020 shows scheduled for the UK, Ireland and Europe have been postponed. The official Sun Kil Moon site simply states: “**November tour rescheduled for 2021. Dates TBA.**” There was no information on whether the currently scheduled 2021 performances, slated to begin Feb. 1 in London and run through Feb. 17 in Berlin, will happen. SPIN reached out to promoter TEG MJR for clarification on whether the tour dates were postponed or outright canceled. Last week, when SPIN reached out to Kozelek’s publicist for comment about the sexual misconduct allegations last week, the publicist replied, “Sorry, I haven’t been able to sp...
Source: Supreme / Supreme In case you’ve been wondering where has Katt Williams been during the pandemic—he’s been rocking with Supreme. On Sunday (August 16), the sometimes troubled comedian and actor dropped a nearly 7-minute monologue for the streetwear brand that was more biting than funny, in a righteous way. Williams hit on numerous contemporary topics including civil unrest, the coronavirus pandemic, the presidential election and more while keeping the jokes in quarantine. But we were here for it as soon as the Donald Trump slander started. “Right now we have a perfectly suitable clown running the free world,” says Williams. “We got a guy whose advice including things that no decent crackhead would tell you to do with a gunshot wound.” Where is the hydroxychloroquine lie? Another of...
Source: Splash / Splash News In less than a month “Kimye” went from potentially doomed to under reconstruction. And judging from the looks of this past weekend, the turbulent celebrity marriage seems to be back on a stable albeit shaky ground. This past weekend saw the return of Kanye West’s religious sect commonly known as Sunday Service and who was there to take in the musical religious experience? Why Kim Kardashian of course. TMZ is reporting that over the weekend the reality TV star joined her Presidential race spoiling husband at his Wyoming ranch along with their two children to take in the service. Kim posted a video of the family affair with a caption that read “Guess who’s back?!?!” in a sign of marital solidarity while showcasing what seems to be a new song from Kanye’s choir. L...

Former Nickelodeon star Drake Bell has been accused of emotional and physical abuse. The allegations were made by ex-girlfriend Melissa Lingafelt in a string of TikTok videos on Wednesday, as Entertainment Weekly reports. According to Lingafelt, she and the Drake & Josh actor dated for about two years beginning in 2006. Everything started out fine enough. “I started dating Drake when I was 16. I was homeschooled, I moved in with him. I was singing,” she recalled, before detailing how things quickly deteriorated. “It wasn’t until about a year when the verbal abuse started, and when I say verbal abuse, imagine the worst type of verbal abuse you could imagine and that’s what I got,” stated Lingafelt, who is now 30 and also goes by the stage name Jimi Ono. His behavior only got worse ...
The Cribs have announced their new album, Night Network. It’s set for arrival November 13th, 2020 through Sonic Blew/[PIAS]. The forthcoming record serves as their eighth overall and follow-up to 2017’s 24-7 Rock Star Shit. More importantly, it marks the return of a British band that almost called it quits after an exhausting business matter involving their management. According to a statement, immediately following the release of their previous record, The Cribs parted way with their UK representation. This led to what they described as a “legal morass” that left them unable to record or release new music for 18 months. For a group that’s steadily put out records for the last 15 years, such a hold-up was disruptive to say the least. “At one point we were actually so disillusioned with wha...
Dolly Parton has once again reminded us why we should all aspire to be more like Dolly Parton. In a new Billboard cover story, the country legend shared her support for Black Lives Matter and the recent uprisings against police brutality and white supremacy. She also spoke candidly about her own mortality and the importance of drawing up a will. On the topic of BLM, the 74-year-old proved that she’s definitely aligned with the times and fully onboard with the protests that have carried on since George Floyd’s murder at the hands of Minneapolis police. “I understand people having to make themselves known and felt and seen,” said Parton. “And of course, Black lives matter. Do we think our little white asses are the only ones that matter? No!” The Queen of Nashville has officially spoken...
