Jeff Tweedy’s New Book Will Teach You How to Write a Song
Wilco singer/songwriter Jeff Tweedy will release How to Write One Song, billed as a “candid and fascinating primer on the art form he knows best,” on Oct. 13 on Dutton. The Mountain Goats have not only announced their upcoming new album, Getting Into Knives, but also released the lyric video for the lead single, “As Many Candles As Possible.” The video shows MG singer, songwriter and guitarist John Darnielle sitting at a outdoor table with a pad, writing down the lyrics to the song as the song plays on. Yeezy has confirmed he is the Ops, but his alleged use of suspect signatures in order to get on ballots across the nation has exposed him to potential prosecution. As TMZ first reported, Yeezy’s name got booted off ballots after submitting petitions that allegedly contained invalid signatures. After receiving objections, Illinois’ State Board of Elections reviewed all 3,128 signatures he submitted, and found that close to 2,000 of them were suspect and ruled invalid. You need 2,500 signatures to get on the ballot, thus Yeezy came up short in Illinois.
