VIMIC frontman Kalen Chase has released the official music video for his new solo single, “Good Things”, featuring Brian Viglione of THE DRESDEN DOLLS on drums. Check it out below. “The inspiration for ‘Good Things’ was just one of those magic moments where I was in a bad mood, and my wife said something like, ‘Y’know, there’s good things happening,’ and I said ‘Well, they’re not happening now,’ and walked away,” Kalen told American Songwriter. “That’s where the line of ‘good things are happening somewhere, but not happening here today’ came from, then I did my usual thing of writing filler.” Chase is a rare breed. Born in Southern California and growing up in Washington state until ...

GLENN HUGHES Looks Back On 2016 ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME Induction: ‘To Have That Achievement Was Great’

During an appearance on the latest episode of “Live From Nerdville With Joe Bonamassa”, legendary vocalist/bassist Glenn Hughes looked back on his 2016 induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, where he was honored along with other former and current members of DEEP PURPLE. “My dad passed away that night,” Glenn said (see video below). [He had been suffering from] dementia, and he had not been well for a week. And mom called me every day, as our mothers do, and she hadn’t called me that day. And I sensed something was wrong. I didn’t talk to anyone — [my wife] Gabi knew about it, of course, but I didn’t tell anyone about it. And I was not my normal self. “I was just really happy to be on that stage with these fellows I was in a family wi...

MYLES KENNEDY Has Written A ‘Full-On MOTOWN’-Style Song For Second Solo Album

ALTER BRIDGE frontman Myles Kennedy spoke to “Offstage With DWP” about his forthcoming second solo album. Regarding the musical direction of the the LP and how it will be different from “Year Of The Tiger”, which came out in March 2018, Myles said: “We finished up a run in the States, ALTER BRIDGE did, in February. And I think at that point, I kind of saw the writing on the wall with what could happen with this pandemic and whatnot. So I was, like, ‘Well, there’s a chance I could be home for a while, so I’m just gonna get right to work.’ That was, like, 12 weeks ago or whatever. So I’ve been just in here [at my home studio] working non-stop. And it’s evolved. “‘Year Of The Tiger’, first of all, is a very da...

Chris Evans Commends Six-Year-Old Boy Who Saved His Sister From Dog Attack: Watch

The current state of affairs may seem endlessly bleak, but Bridger Walker is here to remind us that there’s still good in the world, and that it comes in all shapes and sizes. The six-year-old Wyoming native went viral this week after his aunt posted a video detailing how he’d saved his younger sister from a vicious dog attack. Walker suffered a number of injuries as a result of his act of heroism, and he ended up needing a two-hour surgery and 90 stitches on his face. When asked why he did he what did, Walker simply stated, “If someone had to die, I thought it should be me.” This selfless, heartwarming story made its way to actual superheroes like The Avengers, especially as it became known how much Walker loved them (he has his own Spider-Man and Captain America outfits). A number o...

Sebastian Bach: Supporting President Trump Is a Stance Against Every Out-of-Work Musician in America

Veteran metal singer Sebastian Bach is lashing out against supporters of Donald Trump, telling them that they are taking a “stand against … every musician in America who has been put out of work” due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The former Skid Row vocalist has long been highly critical of Trump’s presidency on social media, but his new tweet from Wednesday night has gone viral with nearly 60,000 likes as of this posting. The full tweet reads, “If you support Donald Trump you stand against rock n’ roll and every musician in America who has been put out of work because a reality television show host doesn’t believe in science.” Bach also included a mask-wearing emoji, driving home the point that by not wearing masks and social distancing, people are extending the pandemic and ultimately p...

Tom Hanks Questions Patriotism of Americans Who Don’t Wear Masks

As one of the first American celebrities who contracted COVID-19 and recovered safely, Tom Hanks doesn’t have time for people who don’t wear masks. The beloved actor has been urging people to practice safety guidelines during the coronavirus pandemic, even going so far as to say, “Don’t be a pussy.” Now, he’s doubling down on that sentiment by questioning the patriotism of Americans who choose not to wear masks. During an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday, Hanks was asked by Stephen Colbert what it’s like to be a coronavirus survivor. The two discussed a range of topics, including whether or not Hanks would donate his plasma to help scientists find a cure (Hanks confirmed he already has and he hopes it will result in the “Hank-ccine” vaccine). Out of all the quest...

CNN’s Chris Cuomo Calls Donald Trump’s Goya Promo “Bullsh*t” On The Air

Source: AGUSTIN PAULLIER / Getty Looks like CNN’s Chris Cuomo has had enough of Donald Trump’s “bullsh*t!” thanks to his endorsement of Goya products from the Oval Office. Things began last week when a boycott of Goya products began after it’s CEO, Robert Unanue, went to the White House and praised the Racist-In-Chief and called Americans “blessed” for having a “leader like Donald Trump” leading the country straight into a divider. In an effort to further troll his left-wing haters and “own the libs,” Donald Trump took a picture of himself in the Oval office with some Goya products sitting on the Resolute Desk that he probably sent one of the White House gardeners to go fetch. That seemed to be the breaking point for Chris Cuomo as the Coronavirus pandemic continues to rage out of control ...
