Glass Petals Drop Piano House Stomper “No Words” on HEXAGON

Along with Johnny Jover, esteemed producer and DJ Felix Cartal kicked off his Glass Petals project last year with the release of two infectious house tracks, “Pumped Up Kick” and “Burner.” Now, the duo is back with another house anthem that’s sure to keep the dance floor moving. “No Words” is a groovy house track that pays homage to classic 1990s house music and brings a refreshing feel to the music of the modern era. A catchy rhythmic vocal verse keeps the groove going, with classic piano house stabs in the buildup. The bass line is just as perfect for nodding your head along to, as it is for shuffling your heart out on the dance floor. Glass Petals is a deeper and more refined approach to Cartal’s music, which typically ...

Angels & Airwaves Share New Video for ‘All That’s Left Is Love’

It’s been a big past few days for Blink-182’s past and current members. Mark Hoppus saved a deer from a lake and now, Tom DeLonge’s Angels & Airwaves have shared a new video for “All That’s Left Is Love.” The song was originally released in April. Proceeds from the song will go to Feeding America. “We never appreciate the connection we have with others until it’s gone, and although we may not be able to change this first part of this story, we can for sure change the ending,”  DeLonge says of the song. Previous singles that have been released include  “Rebel Girl” and “Kiss & Tell.” The group is currently (and has been) at work on a new album, which would be their first since 2014’s The Dream Walker. Since leaving Blink-182, DeLonge has had an assortment of...

Fans Vote “Master of Puppets” Best Metallica Song in Band-Endorsed Poll

Metallica fans have spoken, and they’ve declared “Master of Puppets” as the thrash legends’ greatest song in an official, band-endorsed poll. The poll pit songs against one another in a March Madness style bracket, with the initial 64 tracks selected by a combination of Spotify plays and the number of times each was performed live. Metallica shared the contest round by round on their social media pages, calling it “Some Kind of Bracket”. “Master of Puppets” beat out “One” in the championship round of the bracket. In addition to those two songs, the Final Four included “Enter Sandman” and “Fade to Black”. The band announced the result on social media: “The people have spoken and single song stands alone above the rest. Your champion is ~ drum roll please ~ “MASTER OF PUPPETS!”… no wonder th...

Reese Witherspoon “Didn’t Understand What Homosexuality Was” Before Moving to LA

In a new conversation with Regina King, Reese Witherspoon discussed her sheltered upbringing in Nashville, Tennessee. In an interesting moment, the star of Little Fires Everywhere admitted she “didn’t understand what homosexuality was” before pursuing a film career in Los Angeles. The in-depth discussion on sexuality, race, and class came as part of Variety’s “Actors on Actors” series. King and Witherspoon, who have known each other since co-starring in 2003’s Legally Blonde 2: Red, White, and Blonde, tackled some of the weightiest issues of the day. For her part, Witherspoon opened up about her own personal growth in the context of Hulu’s Little Fires Everywhere.  While acting in and producing the 1990s-set show, Witherspoon reflected on the blinkered worldview she inherite...

Good Citizen Mark Hoppus Saved a Deer From Drowning

Mark Hoppus has done a lot in his music career and beyond, but now he can say that’s a true friend to deer. Confused? Don’t be. In an Instagram post, the Blink-182 bassist/singer shared that while he was cruising around Redfish Lake in Idaho, he discovered a deer that somehow managed to end up in the said lake. “No idea how it got there. It was panicked, shivering, panting, tired, swimming in circles. I got on the swim step and we pulled up alongside it and I was able to get my arms around the bottom of its neck and tried to pull it up but it was too heavy,” Hoppus explained in the post, which was accompanied by a video of the incident. “So for twenty minutes we slowly shepherded this deer across the lake, like herding goats in Twilight Princess, to the nearest shore. We got there and the ...
