Source: Gregg DeGuire / Getty It seems one of the greatest cinematic efforts in history is about to get a modern update. The legend of Tony Montana will live on once again. As spotted on Variety Universal Pictures is moving forward with a reboot of the classic film Scarface. According to the article Luca Guadagnino, of Call Me by Your Name fame, has been tapped to direct the project. Reports state that Joel Coen and Ethan Coen have put the final touches to the script that was originally curated by Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer, Jonathan Herman and Paul Attanasio. This is not the first time this gangster tale has been revisited for a modern remix resulting in several botched attempts. Move aside DJ Roomba, there’s a new housekeeper in town. A total Jedi Knight of a Star Wars fan has reworked Roomba technology to build himself his own R2-D2 machine (which he’s calling R9-D9) — and, yes, it’s the droid we’re looking for. It sweeps. It mops. It even talks. What’s more, it can be yours. The man in question — filmmaker Matthew Scott Hunter — created a complete video breakdown on how he designed the thing using household items and materials. Editors’ Picks Essentially, he took his R2-D2 garbage can, inserted a fan motor for head movements, and added a Bluetooth speaker so it could talk. He even designed the thing to be remotely controlled, which should come in handy when it gets pesky as droids do. Okay, so it’s not exactly a Lego set, and may prove rather difficult for...
Astrid Kirchherr, the legendary rock photographer who documented the earliest days of The Beatles, has died at 81. Via The Guardian, Beatles historian Mark Lewisohn announced the news of her passing on Friday. No cause of death is known at this time. Born in 1938 in Hamburg, Germany, Kirchhherr became one of The Beatles’ earliest fans during their 1960 residency at Hamburg’s Kaiserkeller club. At the time the band consisted of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Stuart Sutcliffe, and Pete Best. Kirchherr convinced them to sit for their first photo session, and later became engaged to Sutcliffe until his death in 1962. In addition to capturing the band’s time in Germany, Kirchherr famously advised them to cut their hair into mop tops. Those hairstyles became one the band...

Brazil’s certified superstar Alok just landed a collaboration that would make any artist blush. Source: Thaddaeus McAdams / Getty Boosie Badazz courts attention with nearly every move he makes on social media for reasons that are less than savory according to some. However, the Louisiana rapper caught a stray after YFN Lucci gave him props on Instagram with Boosie’s past collaborator Webbie letting off some choice words in the comments. Lucci posted on Instagram an image of him and Boosie together, writing in the caption, “Dem n*ggas did that for the boss” in what appeared to be a salute to the OG. Webbie comments, which appear to have been deleted, point to some potential tension that most didn’t expect to witness. “N*GGAZ DID THAT AND DOING ALL THIS SH*T FOR THE BOSS NOW BUT WHERE THE F*CK ALL U N*GGAZ WAS, WHEN I SACRIFICED ALL MY SH*T N TOOK CARE OF FAMILIES WHEN YOU WAS IN JAIL ...
Source: Theo Wargo / Getty Once an internet sensation with the release of “Panda,” Desiinger went from potential Hip-Hop star when he signed with Kanye West’s G.O.O.D Music label to arguably another rap one-hit wonder (no shots). After revealing that the comparisons to ...
