10-Year-Old Girl Rocks Rage Against the Machine in Support of Black Lives Matter: Watch

The very talented Nandi Bushell has offered her support of Black Lives Matter and the fight against racism with a multi-instrumental cover of the Rage Against the Machine classic “Guerrilla Radio.” The 10-year-old musician rocked the drums, bass, and guitar for the performance. This is certainly not the first we’ve seen of Bushell. The UK pre-teen previously wowed us with a drum cover of Queens of the Stone Age’s “No One Knows”, which received an endorsement from QOTSA themselves. And her YouTube channel features dozens of more impressive performances. Her Rage Against the Machine cover comes with a poignant message during these tumultuous times, with protests raging across America and the world following the death of George Floyd while in police custody. A description of the performance o...

Metallica to Stream 1997 Salt Lake City Show From Load Tour

For this week’s #MetallicaMondays, Metallica are going back to the Load era and streaming their Jan. 2, 1997 show in Salt Lake City, Utah. The show, part of “Pour Touring Me” and featuring Korn, was a day-late New Year’s celebration that went on for 20 total songs, including an impressive two encores. The group kicked the Utah Jazz and Karl Malone out of the Delta Center — now known as the Vivint Smart Home Arena — for the night, opening the show with “So What” and closing off with “Motorbreath.” Last week, Metallica allowed fans to stream a 2014 “by request” Peru show, where the group played everything and anything the audience wanted to hear. Before that, they shared a Kill ‘Em All era show at Chicago’s Metro, a 20th anniversary Black Album show from Austria and ...

Musicians from across the country are doing their part to protest police brutality and racism this week and, in the process, they’re inspiring a lot of young people to do the same. Multi-instrumentalist Nandi Bushell, the 10-year-old, one-kid band, posted an electrifying cover of Rage Against the Machine’s “Guerrilla Radio” on Monday in support of the Black Lives Matter movement, as she jammed out on three different instruments with a BLM sign taped to her drum kit. The sign of solidarity, coupled with her love of RATM, has gotten attention on Twitter, as the young drummer extraordinaire has earned nearly 6,000 likes as of Monday afternoon. Source: Johnny Nunez / Getty G-Unit’s goon, Tony Yayo wasn’t feeling DMX’s jab at his lyrical skills and went extremely low when clapping back. *Yayo voice* Here we go now. Following DMX’s apology to Lloyd Banks, where he admitted to confusing Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo when it comes to who has bars in the Hip-Hop stable, G-Unit, Yayo didn’t bite his tongue getting back at Dark Man X. In a now-deleted tweet, the “So Seductive” rapper took a shot at DMX’s well-known battle with drug addiction and called him a “crackhead.” “Dmx a crack head who cares what he think.😂” — Tony Yayo (@TonyYayo) May 30, 2020 This all began when X first dissed Lloyd Banks and asked Fatman Scoop during an Instagram Live interview, “Lloyd Banks? Lyrical? Quote four bars. Impress me with four bars of his....

Conway The Machine Salutes Soldiers On The “Front Lines” With New Track

Source: Johnny Nunez / Getty Conway The Machine could easily rest until the rollout for his Shady Records debut album God Don’t Make Mistakes after dropping two potent projects this year alone. However, the Buffalo, N.Y. marksman isn’t content with keeping silent as America burns in rage and his new song salutes soldiers on the “Front Lines.” Produced by Griselda Records cohort Beat Butcha, “Front Lines” is a menacing track that typifies the grimy style employed by Conway and his brother Westside Gunn and their cousin Benny The Butcher. While the first verse is the usual tough talk from La Machina, the second verse is bone-chilling fare as Conway references the brutal murder of Houston native George Floyd in the streets of South Minneapolis. We would write out the lyrics but we want everyo...

Why Nick Cannon ‘Needed To See The People’ In George Floyd’s Minneapolis Community

Nick Cannon “needed to see the people” in George Floyd’s Minneapolis community, the Wild ‘N Out host writes in a first-person essay on Variety. “I had to go to Minneapolis,” he penned about his trip to Minnesota this past weekend. “I needed to be right there on 38th Street and Chicago where George Floyd’s life was tragically stolen from him. I needed to see the people in that community — how much love they had for their community and their people and how much pain this has caused. We feel the pain go across the world — the anger and the hurt. Those visuals will never be removed from our minds.” He continued: “We’re in the middle of a pandemic and instead of coming closer together and operating as one humanity, people go within and want ...

Couture Queen Gigi Goode On Her Drag Race Exit And Coming Out As Genderfluid

By Christopher Rudolph Gigi Goode is not just good, she’s great. Or as she would say, “I’m not just good, I’m incredible.” The Los Angeles queen kept the judges and viewers gagging throughout Season 12 of RuPaul’s Drag Race with her candy-colored couture high-fashion runway ensembles, like her orange button extravaganza and ice cream queen looks, but also with her comedy chops. Those combined talents earned her a stellar track record; not once did the 22-year-old performer fall in the bottom two during the competition. Gigi was a fierce force to be reckoned with, winning Snatch Game, the Madonna Rusical, and the Ball Ball Challenge. She seemed to be all business, keeping her eye on the crown, but she also showed her surprisingly funny side with her portrayal of Sophia the Robot on Snatch G...
