Following its win for Best Animated Feature at the 2024 Oscars, The Boy and The Heron will be once again gracing theaters.The movie was originally released in Japan in June 2023 after seven years of production, with one of the producer’s referring to it as the most expensive film ever made in the country. About a year ago, it was reported that Star Wars films helmed by director Patty Jenkins and Kevin Feige have been halted. Jenkin's Rogue Squadron was initially delayed from 2021 to 2022 and later fully removed from Disney's 2023 schedule. Now, it appears that the Wonder Woman filmmaker is back on the project.
