The upcoming FX, Hulu and Disney+ historical drama series Shogun has officially debuted on Rotten Tomatoes with a perfect score. The series stars Hiroyuki Sanada and is based off of the original 1975 novel of the same name by James Clavell. The series, which is set in Japan during the year 1600, is partly a historical drama, but it also includes fictionalized versions of true events. Following various characters and story arcs throughout the series, the show has been comparable to the early days of Game of Thrones. The show has now made its debut on Rotten Tomatoes. In a recent conversation with the British Film Institute, renowned director Christopher Nolan revealed he wants to explore the horror genre.
