As for the single, the Rock & Roll Hall of Famers’ latest song has fingerprints from the band’s hit-making past. “I wanted kind of a punky rendition of ‘Any Way You Want It,’” guitarist Neal Schon says about the single. “I usually don’t go in saying I’m going to look for something like that, but then it just came to me, like ‘Wheel in the Sky’ did years ago. Bezic’s musical pedigree sprang to life at an early age, starting with growing up in a musical house with a mom who exemplified the consummate performer as a singer, dancer and part-time piano teacher. Then, in high school, she and her brother formed a band with him on drums and her on guitar and vocals. “A lot of the songs came out of just finding interesting chords,” Bezic says. “I definitely ...

The Agony & Ecstasy of Watain – WATAIN

With “The Agony & Ecstasy of Watain”, the Swedish band’s seventh full-length, WATAIN has created one of the best albums of its career just one year shy of being a quarter century old. “The Agony & Ecstasy ...
